A truly beautiful setting. The Cherry Blossom house was heaven. Perfectly maintained gardens. And the cutest ducks you’ve ever seen.

Tonteldoos is a one-horse town! The small village consists of a general store [very, very quaint!], postal boxes next to the general store, two places that provide meals and drinks, many places to stay along the road from Dullstroom with farms along the way up to Woolly Bugger. PLEASE treat yourself to a meal opposite Woolly Bugger - visit the Mine View restaurant for excellent meals and personal service.

The gravel road getting to Tonteldoos is not your average...
The gravel road getting to Tonteldoos is not your average dirt road, but rather a corrugated, rocky and unmaintained road which takes you over an hour to drive the 30km, as you can’t drive more than 15km per hour. We went in a 4x4 and it was terrible, normal cars are not recommended!! Definitely not close to Dullstroom.
