It was horrible. There was black mold in the shower. The lady owner is just horrible and rude! I won’t stay there again due to this after been going there for years. She will not give a late checkout not even 30 minutes which the majority of hotels/motels will accommodate to! Horrible experience. I have pictures of bathroom and being basically a housekeeping supervisor rooms were not

If you like the historical colonial setting, Yorktown is desirable and educational. Many of the old buildings are there to be toured and background information is present. But, If you just want a beach experience, as we did, Yorktown Beach is rather disappointing. Not enough places to eat or park. No other real attractions.
We did find excellent seafood dinners at Chippers close to the hotel. Yorktown itself is easy to navigate and there were grocery stores, pharmacies, and other services and shops close to the hotel.

Not a party town, but a pleasant place with a great view if you want a relatively simple get-away. It does get a bit crowded in season. If you're good at making the most of not too many options, the view is lovely.

Everyone should visit the place that started America with Washington's defeat of Cornwallis. The town is beautiful in every season. You can drive through the battlefields or on the Colonial Parkway. Eat at "The Pub" within steps of the Duke of York as you watch activity on the York River. You might even see a Navy ship or submarine headed to the Naval Weapons station! End up your day with a Yorktown Ghost tour. You will never want to leave!€

my sisters enjoyed the short time.
my sisters enjoyed the short time. We Rode through and snapped a few pictures 📷 at the beach ⛱. We couldn't visit the museum because of covid 19. However, Virginia seems to be a bit more safe than some other places. Next time we'll be able to visit other landmarks.
The beach was the best place though.
The elegant B&B house fits right in with the historical and quaint Yorktown. David, the host, couldn’t’t have been friendlier or more interesting. The room was very nice, the breakfast superior. The. B&B is a short walking distance to the Yorktown restaurants. Jamestown and Williamsburg are a short scenic drive away on the Colonial Parkway. The cozy living room has as sorts of artifacts and books; a great place to relax after a big day of sightseeing, If you like American history, this is the perfect place to stay.
Location was fantastic! Amazing! Owner was friendly at front desk and so was the other staff. Gill was the cats meow everyday we visited! She took care of little details amazingly! Rooms were very clean! Views from balcony were gorgeous and a new something to see everyday while enjoying coffee! Bed was comfortable and rooms were very clean! Had mini fridge and microwave, which were welcome for 7 night stay! Great walking town and this hotel is right in the action of it all! Highly recommend!
The rooms are aged (bedding and carpet), yes. But they’re kept really clean. The bed was comfortable with super fluffy pillows. And the showers? Heaven. So hot and the water pressure was fantastic. The location was convenient to Williamsburg and food. The room had a mini fridge with a separate freezer door which is nice. Flat screen TV. We usually stay at high end hotels/resorts, and in comparison, we were really pleased with our stay.
The breakfast was fantastic both days. Quiche, two kinds one day, with fruit, egg & cheese casserole another day sure was great. Sitting inside with lots of history on all the walls was wonderful. Sitting outside with an after dinner drink watching fireflies was a topper to the day. Finally we sure enjoyed David’s history lesson talk at breakfast of what went on in Yorktown over the years.
The hotel location is its biggest appeal. Yorktown beach is right across from the hotel and it was very convenient going back and forth. I did like the “third floor” where there was a grassy area and a gazebo near the pool which was better for us with kids than a room with only a balcony.
