Beautiful to walk the path in front of the Inn and watch the surf surge onto the rocks. Spectacular on our windy day. Our room looked to have been completely and newly renovated. Would stay there again. Drift Inn Greek pizza recommended by us.

Large parking lot with many condos all of which were empty - looked like a ghost town in the dark. Could not reach anyone by phone or knock on any doors. Every once in awhile a car would go by on the highway. Cold, dark not bathrooms! Tried for two hours after an all day drive to reach the coast.

If you go in the “winter” season prepare for odd hours at restaurants and shops. Make sure you check this before you head out. The towns nearby by also have lots of services. There are sandy beaches and rocky ones, do your research to make sure you go where you want:). Good food, lovely people and a relaxing vacation.

We've stayed only here since we discovered it years ago.The view is spectacular and there are so many different kinds of beaches and beachcombing opportunities. They are dog friendly which is a definite yes for us! The little shops in Yachats, Waldport and Newport have aniques, local artists designs, kites and a vast variety of items. Something for everyone! The food was delicious everywhere we went.

Sweet little town.
Sweet little town. Several places to stop and enjoy the ocean views or walk upon the beach. A coffee shop that sells Vegan pastries that are wonderful. A small grocery store, ice cream shop, as well as a few places to eat. Within 30 minutes of some bigger towns if you want more options for eating and sightseeing.

The home was at a quiet location with great views and beach access was ok. The home had everything needed. No cell phone service at the home at all. WiFi was good. DISH TV was not too good except for Netflix or HULU. The carpet needs updated otherwise the home was clean and the bedrooms were roomy. The actual driveway entrance needs better signage or something it was very hard to see. We really like how quiet the location was and the view was excellent. everything was very good except for the cell service which was annoying.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10
Yachats is great!
Yachats is great! Especially loved Smelt Sands Park, great views and easy access. I love Cape Perpetua, the Visitor's Center and the many beach access points and sights. Hadn't been there for many years and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. The Cape Perpetua Campground is comfortable and well kept. We enjoyed some cute little shops. All in all, couldn't ask for a better 3 days with so many things to do and see!

Yachats has always been my go to place on the Oregon coast.
Yachats has always been my go to place on the Oregon coast. The 804 trail cuts through the rocky part of the beach which then extends 7 miles north To Waldport. My family owned a little red cabin at the end of the 804 trail for over 50 years. My whole childhood was spent playing on the beach and rocks, hiding out in the spruce forests, and walking miles down the beach towards Waldport. My father would fish off the rocks and catch Perch back in the 60's. My sisters and I would hunt for agates and Japanese floats on the waters edge. Many magical memories.Molly

We were surprised how much we enjoyed the view of the bay, seeing the ocean tides go in and out, the bridge and the forest, for being on the east side of Hwy 101. Enjoyed sitting on the front deck when it wasn't raining. We were in walking distance to a walking trail, and restaurants and a market Three great restaurants that had multiple choices for our plant based diet. Receptionist gave us an upgrade to a king room with jacuzzi and fabulous ocean view., as booking had given us a ‘pet room’ which we did not ask for. We had no pets. The restaurant and bar are run separate from the hotel. Good idea to make reservations as they are extremely short staffed and the wait for drinks at the bar and a table in the restaurant was very long. The steak was good, even though the staff seems really overworked.
