The guy at the breakfast station was sooo nice! And breakfast was great as well - lots to choose between. The staff was in general really nice - we requested a room with view of the courtyard due to the construction, which a male receptionist noticed and thoroughly took care of! Room was classical american beige design, which was fine! Cheap as well

The coffee and smores on the fire, as well as the homemade cookies in the morning, were a great additional touch. We loved sitting around the fire in the evening.

This motel is as close to the freeway as you can get, the noise is constant & at no time did we feel relaxed.
We were on a road trip so just needed a place to get some sleep & relax, this motel unfortunately felt grubby, not relaxing.
Failure on my part for booking the place in haste & not taking the time to research its location, a short walk form the place you can find the pedestrianised part of Venture where there is a nice selection of shops bars and restaurants and other motels.
The bathroom had parts missing, the ceiling extractor trim, the towel holder was falling apart, the rooms windows were the vertical sash type with thumb locks so it felt insecure & anyone from the street can walk up onto the walkway with access to the front of the rooms and you wont hear them because the freeway is so loud.

Location, friendly employees benches to look at the beach

I normally do not write reviews however this hotel is disgusting. The staff upon check in were rude and less than hospitable. The room smelled heavily of mold and dog urine. The bathroom sink and tub had rust rings around the basin. The bathroom walls were filthy with black dirt marks from previous guests including the front door to the room. Upon addressing the concerns with the front desk staff, they did not seem to care and advised me to contact the third party booking website for any assistance. There are plenty of affordable hotels in the area that offer better accommodations than this hotel, please stay away.

Ventura is one of the first beach towns you can stay in as you drive north from Los Angeles. Nice pier and harbor area and it competes with Oxnard just to the North as an easy weekend get away from Los Angeles.

Clean and commfortable place to stay if all you need is a basic lodging with some kitchen facilities. Not in a very good location, and the kitchen was very poorly stocked, but it served our purpose as an relatively inexpensive place to stay while visiting Channel Islands National Park.

I like Ventura.
I like Ventura. We usually stop in Oxnard for food but this was our fist time staying the night in Ventura. It is more affordable than Ojai and Santa Barbara. I would visit with my family again. The Beach House restaurant on the pier was great too.

Although the city is bisected by a busy freeway and a rail line, it's a great place to shop, walk along the beach, and as a more reasonably priced place to stay for visits to Santa Barbara and Ojai.

We went for the International Heirloom Exposition.
We went for the International Heirloom Exposition. It was fantastic!!! If you like to garden, I highly recommend it. Then we got to experience a little bit of Ventura. Their downtown/midtown gets a little crazy for us, but we found a ton of other eating options. I highly recommend Fresh Grill Ventura @ Main St & S. Santa Rosa St. Their breakfast bowl is the best!!! Fresh veggies and so tasty.
Since Covid-19 broke out they’re using this location to house the homeless of Ventura. Kudos to them for helping out, but that wasn’t advertised. Did not feel safe at the property. The staff was rude and wouldn’t let us cancel our reservation. They did let us change our reservation from 4 days down to 1. So we were stuck paying $200 instead of the $1100. We paid and promptly left and booked another hotel.
Quiet. Great location. Had breakfast. I come to Ventura to work. I've stayed at Bayshore Inn (terrible) and Crown Plaza (better but very loud). Amanzi has been the best one so far: huge rooms, very quiet, brand new facility. I'm honestly surprised this hotel isn't more expensive. Not to mention great location too - close to the beach and close to downtown. Definitely my go to hotel now.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming - we arrived late in the evening, and there was a loud, whining, machinery noise in the rrom from the jacuzzi pumps outside. We were offered another room but it wasn't necessary as the jacuzzi was being shut off for the evening and the room was perfectly okay otherwise.
The hotel is a little dated, but clean, and the service is excellenty
The room had lots of space, the bed was large and had soft linens, the kitchen appliances were stored away from the room, the bathroom was nice and had Dove brand cosmetics. The view was beautiful and the marina where the hotel is located, had nice restaurant area and also beach. We were allowed to use swimming pool of the near hotel. The parking cost was reasonable (12$/night).
The location was perfect. 10 minutes from the Ventura Harbor Village where we took transportation to the Channel Islands. There are different restaurants along Victoria which is the street the Hotel is located which make it convenient for when hunger calls. We went to a Pub when we arrived which was located 4 minutes away on Victoria.
Second stay here and both were wonderful. Front desk staff Dylan, Sean and Chris were great. Casual yet classy place and just an overall fabulous place to stay on the beach. Really good breakfast choices as well. Crowne Plaza in Ventura gets a solid 10!
I have stayed at this location several times. The proximity to the downtown area, freeway and beach make this an excellent location. The amenities are awesome for the price paid. As I travel through the area in the future, I plan to stay here again.
Clean, quiet, simple. A wonderful change from your standard hotel-very quiet at night, at most 2 adjoining walls through which I heard almost nothing, park right outside your door with no stairs or elevator, comfortable bed.
Close to beach. Nice restaurants near by. Beds comfortable. Staff very nice. Beach sandy and within walking distance to the pier. Price is reasonable for the location. Refrigerator and microwave and sink in our room.
I liked the spacious room and the view of the garden. It is a sad that the restaurant and all other amenities were closed because of Corona but the hotel is so close to downtown Ventura that it was ok
Very reasonable rates, considering that this motel provides a separate room complete with a gas stove, fridge and small dining table ! It's also a very short drive to the beach and downtown Ventura.
Great hotel in the heart of Ventura with awesome courtyard and very nice stylish rooms. Lover our little patio. Very clean room and despite a music festival next door, our room was quiet.
The location was great. And right on the beach and within a pedestrian area. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. The room was clean and the gym was well equipped.
The room was large and very clean. The location for going to the Ventura Harbor was great. It was a good deal compared to the expensive hotels closer to the harbor.
Great owner who was prompt with check in
Good location near downtown Ventura
We went to Ventura Music Hall for a concert, only a 5 min walk away.
Room was clean
