This was the first time my wife and I have ever stayed at a B & B. It exceeded our expectations! The hosts Karl and Janet go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The passion and pride they have in what they do shows in so many ways. The house being over 120 years old is like a museum in it self with updated amenities. Breakfast was exceptional from the presentation to the variety and taste. They have set the bar on how a B & B should be managed. The location was a perfect home base to experience all of door county. Would not hesitate to book another stay.

Door county is a beautiful place to visit.
Door county is a beautiful place to visit. Relaxing and the scenery is breathtaking. Plenty of restaurants, vineries and craft breweries. Sturgeon Bay is a beautiful area but we spent half of our time elsewhere.

We could not have asked for a better experience than we had at the Scofield House. The hosts were wonderful, kind and helpful. The room was lovely and the food delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the lighthouses and going to the Maritime museum. Wish we had time to shop at the Thursday sidewalk sales.

We enjoyed a fish fry at Waterfront Marys.
We enjoyed a fish fry at Waterfront Marys. Great location and food. The views are amazing. Lots of little shops downtown & only about a 40 min drive to the edge of the peninsula, to sisters bay and less to the rest of the harbors. Worth a trip here.

The fall colors were just beginning to show their brilliance...
The fall colors were just beginning to show their brilliance, we had delightful meals at Mike's Bar and Grill in Jacksonport, loved the skyline view at Peninsula State park, which also was a beautiful drive. Visited Eagle Bluff lighthouse and enjoyed shopping in multiple towns on the peninsula.
I really loved the comfort of the house, it felt like home. The place was nice and I had no issues whatsoever. I really recommend this house if anyone is looking for a safe place to stay. It was my first time staying at place other then a hotel but overall great experience. The location isn't far from other popular places either and there's a lot to enjoy! I loved that they provided board games because what's better then a game night with your family!
We were so happy with our stay here - this was a little gem! The owners were very nice and the rooms were clean and very quiet. In fact this is the quiet side of the peninsula but that suited us just fine! The hotel is right on the beach front and there is a little coffee shop too for the mornings. There was plenty to do in the area or you can drive easily to other villages. I can see this being a place we will come again and again!
It was very clean and every employee was friendly and pleasant. There was always hot coffee or water for tea/ hot chocolate available which was appreciated. Other hotels we have been in have a unpleasant smell in the room but this property just had a fresh, clean smell.
The breakfast that was available was more than adequate, it was delicious and plentiful.
Very clean 50s style motel in a fantastic location. Within walking distance to shops and eateries and local museums. Bridge into Sturgeon Bay right across the street. Could walk across bridge to harbor, maritime museum and local attractions. Motel has a fair amount of 50s memorabilia inside the small lobby area and the rooms. Motel has a nice vibe.
Very smooth check-in. Easy access on the hi-way. Just a walk to the lakeside park if you want to have a quick sunrise view. And there is a pub beside the hotel if your down with some drinks too. All in all our stay in this small hotel is great. If we're going back here next summer will definitely choose this again.
A very quiet resort just minutes north of Sturgeon Bay. If you want quiet, this is the place, and with nice views of the golf course. Convenient to get to, room was nice, continental breakfast was very simple, they had a bar/restaurant but we did not visit, we went in to Sturgeon Bay instead. Enjoyed our stay.
We decided to visit Door County at the last moment we were able to grab this room due to a cancelation. We usually stay further north in Fish Creek or Ephraim. We were surprised by the vibrancy of Sturgeon Bay, and delighted with Foxglove Inn. Beautiful suite, lots of light, quiet, and very service oriented.
We stayed in Yurts at Tranquil Timbers in Sturgeon Bay.
The cozy and well-equipped yurts are amazing. The campground's serene location and friendly staff make it an ideal choice for a peaceful getaway more specifically during weekdays since the camping was very quiet. Highly recommended.
I really appreciated being able to bring my dog and sit outside on the lake in a swing. It was a quiet, the fall foliage was beautiful and overall relaxing time. The location is on the southern in of Sturgeon Bay but was a great for an October visit.

This is a quirky, quaint hotel across four 19thC properties, furnished in an eclectic but impeccable style. Dennis our host was friendly and informative. The breakfasts were splendid and taken in company with other guests.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel just really beautiful. The room was spacious and comfy. For all of us it was definitely one of the best hotel experiences we had in recent years.
The house is in an optimal location in Sturgeon Bay.
The hosts, Janet and Karl, are very friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed the stay there very much and would stay there again at any time.

The host thought of everything. Way better than a hotel. In a quiet neighborhood. Beautifully decorated. So comfortable that it was like being at home.
