Great breakfast and conversion. Their bakery in San Jose is fairly close to us. We plan to visit it soon.

Fun shops and restaurants on main street. Did some great walks from the hotel down to the river and through local vineyards. Also walked to the cemetery on Spring street. Went winetasting at Ballentine which was very close to the hotel. Miguel was very knowledgeable. Met several locals who were very friendly and gave us hiking and restaurant recommendations.

The downtown is very nice and walkable, and I liked the Robert Louis Stevenson museum. It's also close to Calistoga and the famous hot springs. The weather is great and if you enjoy wine, the choices are endless!

Cute little town.
Cute little town. If wine is your thing, this is the place to be. However, if you are willing to explore a bit more, there is the Robert Louis Stevenson/Silverado Museum within walking distance of the downtown area. And, just a short drive to Calistoga, there is the Petrified Forest. Amazing! I had no idea, California had it’s own Petrified Forest. They have a small park in town that puts on events. The night I checked in, they had a community potluck with live music! I had already had dinner at one of the in town restaurants, but I shamelessly had my desert in the park & enjoyed the jazz/blues trio playing. Enjoyable 2-day stay!

St Helena is a little cheaper to stay in than Napa or Sonoma and, I would argue, offers something a bit different - you can stay right amongst the vineyards and it has some of the best restaurants in Napa Valley right on your doorstep. Farmstead is the standout choice just outside of the town centre, but Charter Oak next door also gets rave reviews and there are more restaurants like Market and Cooks in St Helena itself that come highly recommended. And for quicker options, the bruschetta truck at Clif Family Tasting Rooms is fantastic and Gott’s Roadside is great for a burger and milkshake in between your wine tours. On the vineyards themselves, there are obviously more to choose from than I could mention, but I would highly recommend Hall Wines with its large sculptured “Bunny Foo-Foo” out front - it is a very modern vineyard which mixes great wine and great art to fantastic effect.
This property is excellent, our best accomodation on our 4.5 week trip. The room was spacious, clean and the huge bed was super comfortable. The grounds are immaculate with lovely flowers, we saw a hummingbird :) The pool area is really nice, overlooking neighbouring vines. The breakfast is simple, served in a lovely dining area. Great location in Napa Valley, walking distance to St Helena town and a few good restaurants & wineries. Excellent, highly recommended!
Do not be put off that this is a motel versus a hotel. They are reasonably priced and have Lovely grounds. We stayed in room 24 in the back and enjoyed a nice quiet large King room with a comfortable bed. The grounds are beautiful and include a nice fire pit, pool and jacuzzi, plus a sauna! Their central location to Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga is perfect for wine tasting! Truly a gem among all the very overpriced accommodations nearby!!
There is nothing you can fault about then hotel. Great location, walking distance to the bars & restaurants (Market & Farmstead) and excellent pickup point for the vineyard tours.
Sabrina - Love your homemade cookies every night and remember us Sikhs, we do not pray to any direction. Scouts or not!!!
Beke & Paolo - Muchas Gracias Senoritas for the wonderful breakfast♥️
It was a good location as we were visiting various wineries and restaurants in the nearby St. Helena (Napa) area. There was plenty of hot coffee and a nice hot breakfast was prepared by the housekeeper. The dining room was large and cheerful and looked out over the large garden area. The downstairs public rooms were large and could accommodate a number of people.
Lovely boutique hotel. Spacious bright room. Fantastically friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and coffee/tea/water and fruit and cookies available throughout the day. Large comfortable lounge area in lobby to relax in. Recommend highly.
It was a nice small hotel with nice surroundings in Napa Valley next to a vineyard. It was easy to access, big rooms with cosey furniture and a fireplace. The breakfast was ok. We didn't try the pool area because it was a bit cold.
Amazing place and amazing host. Easy to book, clean and comfortable room, very close to the busy happenings in Napa valley but just far enough away to have a feeling of seclusion and privacy. Wonderful communication with host.
the hotel doenn’t have a staff enough!!! we stay one day all outside and nobody change our room! eh en We arrived just a woman want ed our card for payment and doesn’t explano any THINGS or show us the hotel…
Patrice, the Inn Keeper, was amazing. She cooked the BEST breakfast!
The location to town was why we booked the room, and we really enjoyed being able to walk to town.
We will be back to stay here again!
Exceptional level of service, facilities, was impressed by a fireplace at the balcony.
In my opinion, it is a Maldives-level hotel with perfect views and ambience.
