Wanted to get away from Chicago and be close to Michigan. Wanted to stay somewhere cheap but not seedy and dirty. This was probably the cleanest motel I’ve stayed at. Everything was clean and tidy upon getting in the room. The motel was quiet inside and we slept pretty well. We would stay again.

The breakfast was good which is unusual for me because i am on a very restricted diet. The staff as always are among the best I've encountered. They make an effort to get to know customers and work very hard. I travel a great deal for business so am in many hotels and can compare experiences. The hotels in South Bend at the same level (e.g. Courtyard Marriott) have nowhere near the level of service and attention to things like traffic in and out of the property. The GM seems to run a tight ship and people seem to be working together well. The property is very clean. The gym and laundry areas, which are pretty important to business travelers, are clean and functional.

The staff were very friendly and respectful. The breakfast was good on both mornings we ate. The hotel was very clean, and room service did an amazing job. The rooms are very big and provide for an ample amount of space. We stayed in the double bedroom and we had 2 beds, a sofa, and a lounge chair. There is a wall between the beds and the lounge chair/sofa that gives you some privacy or peace and quiet from the rest of the room. The hot tub was relaxing and the pool was at a decent temperature. The gym was a good size and allowed for a good workout. The hotel is only 12 minutes from the convention center or campus.
