This was just a one night stay during a road trip on the California coast. This area is beautiful with many attractions, including nearby beaches, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the town of Carmel.
The hotel is clean, the mattresses very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a mini refrigerator and a coffee pot in the room.

Marina has a small town feel with a lot of amenities. Marina State Beach has a lot of rough water at this beach. It is not always safe to swim in. They have a Walmart and a Target, Starbucks, and other places to eat. This little town is very close to Monterrey. It should make your stay easy.

Marina is awesome, very low key city with some great food spots. Definitely a getaway city if you don't want to be around many people. The beach is close as well and other cities nearby are not far at all.

I didn’t even stay at the property because they said they didn’t know if the rooms were occupied with homeless people or not their system was down. They house homeless people in some type of program there. The check in lady literally told me the cleaning lady is a crack head. It was a terrible experience and I had to spend extra money to go to another hotel the same night with my family.

The place was filthy.
The place was filthy. I slept on top of a towel I brought from home, in my clothes. We felt unsafe...the 3 security guards there made it seem worse. The night check out was no where to be found. It just gave me insight into how filthy what used to be a dining room. There were filthy dirty rags under the fridge. Not one surface looked clean. I stuck our room cards in the edge of the front doors so when they opened the door the staff would know we tried checking out. I wouldn't trust leaving the keys in the room since the room on the other side of us laid uncleaned long after we checked in. DON'T TRUST BOOKING.COM CARES!! Staying at this place proved that all too clearly!

The property is very run down with trash everywhere.
The property is very run down with trash everywhere. Not as advertised! Hot tub was dirty and full of leaves, no one showed up to put out the "grab and go" breakfast, and "across the street" from the beach is a bit of a stretch, it would be a 10 to 15 minute walk. Also the hotel parking lot shares with public beach parking.
It was dirty. It was loud at all hours, day and night, including 2:30, 4:30 a.m. There were several homeless people. It was more like a homeless shelter than a hotel.
The staff was not available at night. They didn't even answer the phone.
When we asked for things like towels or an extra pillow or hair dryer, we were told they didn't have any.
The walls are really thin, and you can hear everything. So if you need a restful place to stay, I do not recommend this property.
Regeena, Gen Mgr, and Mirako, Jessica & Wilson, Front Desk Agents, rendered exceptional guest service. They greeted travelers w/a respectful attitude, warm welcome, and high standard of professionalism. Check-in was quick. Moreover, Regeena, Gen Mgr, took immediate and decisive action to provide a reasonable accommodation for my service-connected disability. The hotel is located in close proximity to the beach, shopping, and Monterey. The room rate very reasonable.
We made a quick stop at this new hotel during our 101 highway trip, and we were extremely impressed with its cleanliness and modernity. Despite being reasonably priced, the room provided us the utmost comfort and a relaxing atmosphere.
For breakfast, we relished the self-cooking waffles, which were delicious.
Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel, and we are happy to recommend it to anyone passing through the area for a quick pit stop.
We were greeted upon arrival by a very pleasant staff person. The room was spotless and had several amenities. The breakfast bag was amazing! So many wonderful items! Enough to provide both breakfast and snacks til lunch! The coffee bar had several nice extras as well. We were also grateful to see the "Human Trafficking" alert poster framed in the front office! It was nice to see a hotel raise awareness of this issue!
Clean, comfortable, quiet and about a 15-min drive from Carmel, so on a holiday weekend when hotels in Carmel/Monterey were all booked up and/or crazy expensive, we booked this last minute and it totally did the trick. Not someplace you'd stay for the actual motel, but a fine place to sleep in the area at half the price of the fancier towns where we spent our days.
We really loved staying at this hotel. The hotel is so nice, pictures don't do its justice. We all had the feeling that we were staying at a really nice luxury hotel. It was a very confortable stay. The hotel was clean and had everything we were looking for. We will love to stay here again.
We were upgraded to a better room with a small extra charge. The staff were very helpful in keeping our couriered parcels in safe custody till we arrived. The location of the hotel was good....just off the freeway. There was a Dennys and Walmart in close proximity which was convenient
The managers were so nice and helpful. They actually acted like they were glad we were there. Refreshingly different than many other hotel staff experiences. The breakfast they provided was great - nutritional and balanced. As we were there for bike races, this was a nice bonus.
Breakfast is acceptable and not too much options. Very limited seating, a lot of people have to eat in their room.
Perfect location as it's close to Marina State Beach, we packed our breakfast from the hotel and had our breakfast at the beach.
Good location (assuming you have a car). Being next to Marina state beach is a huge plus. Also, the staff was very friendly, and the free parking right outside the room is great. Beds were fantastic!
Nothing. it was dirty, bed sheets are dirty, stained and torn. The floor, tables were dirty and needed to be sweep and mop. TV was not working. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed.
I loved the price first of all . The Hotel was so nice . Comfortable beds spacious rooms and the beach is across the street. I'm definitely going again.
