Hampton Inn Linden, hotel in Linden

Along with shuttle service to both the Linden and Newark airports, the Hampton Inn Linden offers an outdoor pool and several room options, including suites with in-room hot tubs.

The location was handy for the nearby rail station which was one of the things we were keen on. Reception area, lifts and hallways were all clean. Staff were friendly enough for the amount of time that I dealt with them. Breakfast was basic but the area was kept clean and topped up and actually stopped me from over eating at breakfast which I can have a tendency to do. We had chosen the hotel to be able to get the train up to Newark Penn Station for the ice hockey and it did what we needed.

Crowne Plaza Newark Airport, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Linden

Providing free 24-hour transfers to Newark International Airport, this New Jersey hotel is a short distance from attractions, including New York City and offers on-site dining and modern amenities.

The only good thing is the shuttle which serves the purpose of staying near airport. Everything that is available just bare minimum. Check in was easy, but there is no hospitality about this hotel.

we cooked like we were in our own home and the location is just too good. we arrived so late on Friday while the owner picked us up by himself straight to the house, showed us the shopping malls around at that late hour, and you won't believe this, they cooked dinner for us free as if we were their family member, I mean free rice and stew and some chicken and meats. we are not the type that eat outside or something cooked by others apart from restaurants, but they presented the food to us with utmost good mind and happiness. also they are the one calling us to ask if we need something or not, we felt too comfortable and happy while there, i will forever grateful and definitely using the place again next time we are visiting new York

    Room was very clean.

Room was very clean. You could smell the bleach which I appreciate but the refrigerator was going nothing stayed cold at the bottom so we had to use the freezer to keep stuff cold which froze stuff and then we had to thaw it out to drink it. Overall room, hallways, carpet and elevator was always clean. Also the maids started knocking on the door 10 minutes before check out and kept coming back about 3 times. Now that is annoying

I had an issue, partly self-inflicted.

I had an issue, partly self-inflicted. The day before heading to Linden I was unable to find my license. I was traveling with four of my children ages- 1, 4, 8 and 20. The morning we were heading out I called the hotel to find out the booking age which was 21 so I couldn’t swap the reservations to my daughter’s name. Next I explained my predicament. The worker on the phone asked if I had a passport which I do not, nor do I have a work ID. She told me just to bring as many items as I could with my name. We arrive at the hotel with a different worker. I am told I can’t check-in even though I had my health insurance card, dental insurance card, and a credit card all matching my reservation name. The worker was extremely nice and apologetic, but I still needed a room. My daughter’s boyfriend ended up putting the room in his name(he is staying there long-term for a job). If he hadn’t been there I would’ve been SOL with 3 little ones in tow. All I ask is that there is more training and consistency with workers so someone else isn’t left in that situation. No other complaints regarding the hotel. Cleanest hotel I’ve been to since the beginning of covid and every place being short staffed.

The room was nice, the staff was mostly friendly, breakfast was good and the size of the pool was more like the size of an outdoor hot tub. They did not clean the room, nor exchange towels at all during our three night stay. We had to bring our towels to the front desk to exchange them. They had a 100% customer satisfaction policy, but it didn't hold up. We complained to no avail. They said, they had a policy, due to COVID-19, that they only clean rooms every three days. If they are afraid of COVID-19, why isn't the staff and cleaning crew wearing gloves and masks all day or even when dealing with customers?! No excuse!

I did come for business this time.

I did come for business this time. This time all I really could see was shopping centers, super markets, restaurants, tractor trailers, and automobiles everywhere. This is a highly traffic congested area. But you will find food! I ate at TGIF .l did go to IKEA. In the better weather I do take the ferry to the statue of liberty and Ellis Island, or go into the city. It is good to know that this hotel is here. Otherwise it is a bit congested with traffic for me for pleasure, but it was a good place to take care of my business. I am not familiar with the attractions that are here to recommend, sorry. My stay was very short.

    Overall we like the hotel.

Overall we like the hotel. The location is great, near shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. More care is needed to update the facility. The furnishing and the linens are looking very worn and old. The staff is great, very accommodating and friendly. The place just needs a little care and updating.

The location perfect for where I wanted to be. Near shopping and a main highway. Only a few miles from airport. The room was very clean. The common areas were clean. The front desk staff was very pleasant. The suite was well stocked with dishes and other utensils. Of course the fact that the hotel is newly built makes a big difference.

The hotel is well located near a commercial area with options to eat/shop nearby. The hotel is comfortable and clean, although a bit dated. They provide hot breakfast everyday with more options than in most hotels.

The minute we walked in we were greeted by the young lady at the front desk. The room was so clean and modern as well as the lobby of the hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if in the area.

Nice personnel, the rooms are more studios than regular hotel room. The aircon worked well and you didn't hear much of the noise outside despite the hotel being near a highway
