My partner and I ate at Main Street Tacos & Angler's, absolutely delicious spots. We drank at Angry Minnow brewery & River's Edge Saloon, both fun spots. The building Angry Minnow is located in is gorgeous with stained glass windows, ornate light fixtures & original brick walls. We checked out several stores on Main Street, and got information from the travel center, they were very helpful. We had affogatos at West's Hayward Dairy, it was great. We stayed at Northern Pine Inn, it was quiet and cute. We went to the beach and walked the area, the water felt refreshingly cool & we saw kids fishing. We checked out Black Fridays thrift store. It was a great two days.

The area is beautiful.
The area is beautiful. We came for fall leaves, and got we were looking for, lakes and forests everywhere. Got good help from the visitors' office. Had a drink at the Moccasin Bar, which has a great taxidermy display--a must see really! And a very good drink and dinner at the Ranch Supper Club.

There is plenty of and different forms of sports and outside activities to enjoy. There is plenty of different styles of lodging to enjoy. There is plenty varieties of food for eating-sit down restaurants; select only the ones that have good reviews. Our first night there, we choose one based on its name and had a dissatisfaction result.

Good selection of restaurants, shops, grocery store, all amenities. Things to entertain kids & adults, close to lakes for fishing, swimming, canoeing, camping. About an hour or so from Bayfield & Lake Superior. You have to go to The Delta Diner, featured in "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" with Guy Fieri. Food is to die for, Mondays is all Burger Day! Breakfast kills, mimosas too.
While it is an older motel, we were impressed with the cleanliness of our room. It smelled clean when we opened the door. Not antiseptic, like a hospital, but fresh, like the northwoods. We've stayed in newer places that didn't smell as clean. The manager was friendly and familiar with the area and the attractions. The surrounding area was quiet and the location is convenient to Hayward. We would recommend it.

The staff was kind & as helpful as they could be. It was an incredibly busy weekend in town, all hotels booked. Very nervous if my reservation via Booking.com made 7 months prior would be good, as the guest in front of me had been given a reservation via Booking.com on an already full hotel.
It is an old motel typical of the far north woods fishing area that has gone under a lot of interior updates but still has the old exterior. Room was very nice and pool looked nice too. Location was just on edge of town with woodsie feel.
The Location of your Hotel was easy to find. The Lady at the front desk was vey nice when we checked in on Sunday afternoon. Nice looking Lobby. The room we had reserved was very nice and also very Roomy. The Bath towels were very soft
Everything was very clean. The outdoor seating area was so peaceful watching water on comfy chairs. The firepit around the back was a great addition - wood available to burn. Very comfortable, quiet and enjoyable time away!
We enjoyed the lower level pool table in the bar as well as the outdoor patio area. We didn't try the resaurant but the menu looked good. Location was nice for what we had planned. Hotel staff were friendly.
Great choices for breakfast. Lobby gave an excellent view of the lake. Path down to the boat dock was well kept up. Property was well maintained. Interior of hotel was very rustic and relaxing.
Very nice people working hard to restore a hotel that's been in Hayward for a long time. They have accomplished a lot and have great vision to continue to work on the property.
Hayward, WI is delightful. This hotel is a blight. I would have refused to stay without a refund if there was another option that night within a 100 miles.
