Beautiful location, next to the golf course, and a 3 minute walk onto the beach. Our room was in the Annex, new facility with a great view. Also very stylish with classic feel in the McMenamins tradition. Attached restaurant is old English pub style. Bartender was friendly and very helpful. Beach side accommodation is can't miss.

Cute little breakfast and brought to door every morning was nice. Great coffee set up and kitchenette type counter. Had just what I needed. Clean room, but not pretentious because it’s dog friendly. Me and my puppy felt comfortable.

Like I said previously, if you do not look 55 or older, do not go here. The service was extremely disappointing. We planned a night to have a special meal. We had to end up canceling, mid meal, because the staff was so rude to us. We started our meal, after we were ignored for drinks we let it slide. Once we ordered our appetizer and our server threw it on our table without saying a word, we decided it was time to cancel. This was after we had been mistreated multiple other times.

We had a fantastic time.
We had a fantastic time. Overall it was a very relaxing stay. Great location. You must try Grandma’s corner restaurant! Had the best omelette and hash browns ever!!!!!
That says a lot, as I’m a food snob.
After stuffing ourselves, we drove south to Seaside to pick up a few things we forgot. Then we drove North again, to Sunset beach for a beach cleanup. After we finished there, we headed to Astoria to visit Fort George Brewery. Wow, beautiful beer. It was amazing to go home to our condo rental. It was so tranquil after a busy day. We were excited to learn we had access to ESPN, so we were able to watch the 2nd half of the Blazer game! I wish I was still there...

It was just perfect, everything went well. Everyone enjoyed the stay . We are planning on another family trip for next year and we will definitely be going back to Gearhart by the Sea. Great place for vacation!!
Nice continental breakfast. Good coffee in room. Offer food items for diabetics without sugar.
Perfect location for beach access, walks around town, walk to McMenamins at golf course, etc.
Best beach-combing beach for whole sand dollars. Try to go at low tide. Beautiful sunsets from park bench or beach.
Quaint lodge, short walk to beach, comfy bed and great restaurant on-site. Best eggs benedict I've had in a while! Friendly staff despite working under difficult conditions. Very close to Seaside and Cannon Beach. My husband is anxious to return to play the golf course which was closed while we were there.
This property sits in a one of a kind location with incredible views of the Gearhart estuary, Tillamook Head and the ocean. It is a good facility for 18 people in that we could all eat at one table and gather in the large living room.
We like the quiet peaceful location, easy walk to the beach, and close proximity to Astoria, Seaside, and Cannon Beach.
The unit is clean, well appointed, comfortable, and peaceful.
I like the location of the property. It made it easy to go to the beach since it was just down the road. I also liked the swing & the fire pit that was outside
