The owner Paul was an excellent host, offering to help in any way needed, and provided a great breakfast. We became friends and will keep in touch beyond the B&B stay. We were able to walk to a different restaurant for each meal and the restaurant choices and quality were great.

Franklin is a quiet little town.

Franklin is a quiet little town. It is a great little town to stop over and visit on your way to Cherokee or Gatlinburg. We were only there for one night, but plan to come back at another time. It seems to be a quiet little town. I look forward to exploring more of the town on my next visit to the manor!

The whole facility needs upgrading it was a horrible stay. I booked Comfort inn we got there it was Quality inn. The hotel smelled and the room smelled the toilet went out on us and the bed felt as if we were sleeping on a trampoline. This hotel needs a total makeover.

The town was full of character.

The town was full of character. The shops, the restaurants, the waterfalls, even the winding roads, were a joy to discover. What a hidden gem! I did not have time to enjoy all the waterfalls or hiking trails, or even the river sports, and I just missed the changing of the season. I would love to return once the leaves are turned, since the landscape is so beautiful.

I love the mountains and Franklin “is the mountains” of western North Carolina. Franklin is a small town, maybe not geared for the young people looking for lots of things to do but for folks looking to slow down a little it’s great. There’s great local shops and restaurants, sometimes you have to work a little to find them. Calasaja River Gorge is an amazing drive up to Highlands where the shopping is also amazing. A beautiful day trip for anyone.

The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, the gas grill was very filthy, outside dining table was nasty dirty, cobwebs and spider webs in house which we cleaned and cabin had a very strong smell of stain and shellac which was unbearable, we slept with niece while fans and air conditioning trying to air out cabin.

We love Franklin... its a great area for chasing Waterfalls and enjoying Nature. Personally, we like to hike and explore the area in our Jeep, but some of our friends like to shop in Highlands or Gamble in Cherokee so Franklin is just a Great centerpoint for us to meet up . The area has some Cute boutiques and Antiques shops, if that's your thing...But there are several Ingles and a Burkes Outlet for items you might realize you forgot for your trip Every local restaurant we have tried has been Great... We seem to eat at El Charro more than others because they are open late and the atmosphere and food are Good. Our biggest complaint of that area, or anywhere in a 50 mile range, is finding a Restaurant open after dark. Can't blame it on Covid or time of year, its always like this.

The property is nestled in the middle of Franklin, NC with beautiful scenery with a quiet and quaint at home country living feel. Inside of the cabin was like an amalgamation of every feel good memory of my childhood from decor down to the dishes. We were located within 20 or so minutes from great hiking trails, gem mines, grocery stores and shopping. The owner, Mr. Larry made us feel right at home with his kindness. Everything about our stay in Franklin was positive and we cannot wait to return!

Wonderful accommodation at a very fair price. The room was very clean and smelled like it too. We loved that there was no carpet in the room. Instead there was hard flooring that had been mopped. The shower was hot and had excellent pressure. The location is in the heart of Franklin where you can walk to everything. Very quiet location too. The owner was so friendly and accommodating. We needed a few extra pillows and he provided them with no issues.

The hotel appeared new and is very clean. We had a fast, friendly and easy check in. Our room was outfitted with everything we could want, a comfy bed, mini ‘fridge, microwave, writing desk, television and Neutrogena bath amenities. Our room was quiet and the temperature easily controlled. Breakfast was from 6-10 am and contained many choices including healthy and otherwise. I would return without a doubt when in Franklin NC.

Motel is older but has a great location being in downtown Franklin. It didn't serve coffee or breakfast but there was a nice restaurant about 1/2 block away that is open early. There is also a bakery almost next door. My room was at the back end of the motel and it was very quiet which was nice. A lot of hikers stay at this hotel so you will see people but few cars. The hotel room was very clean.

The owner, Kate, goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The whole house and grounds are very charming and comfortable. Kate puts a lot of care into the property and it shows. I stayed for a work trip and compared the cost with others that stayed at local hotels. McTernan was less expensive and undoubtedly nicer!

This motel feels like throwback from 60years ago except with modern amenities. It was very clean. Pool was great but cold. We had room service every day. There was a good playground for the kids. It is close enough to get to everything in Franklin on a few minutes. All the people that work there were very pleasant/

No breakfast but that was not the problem. The web site stated the property was a 3 star but was at best was a 1 1/2. The only reason we stayed was we were tired and Franklin didn’t offer much in the way of accommodations. The manager was, however, a nice guy and was really trying to improve the facility.

This is such a cute, well kept hotel. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evening and visiting with other guest. Great location for us. We were getting on the Blue Ridge parkway the next day. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to NC.
