Didn't get to experience much except casinos due to the time of year we visited. A lot of places were closed. The town in a typical tourist town, can't really see much of the history the place holds.

My husband and I love Deadwood and have made more than 20...
My husband and I love Deadwood and have made more than 20 trips in the last 10 years. Lots to do in the area including visits to different museums, hiking, ghost tours, shopping, wine tasting, great food, and gambling. There is still a lot that we have not seen and done, which keeps us making the 10 hour drive 2 times a year.

We went after a snowfall and streets weren't cleaned.
We went after a snowfall and streets weren't cleaned. Some businesses and shops were closed and the sidewalks never got shoveled and were very slippery. Everyone that we met was friendly and fun. There was a lot to do and see, next time we'll stay longer. We'll be back as soon as we can, but in the fall rather than winter.

Lots of fun things to do and see.
Lots of fun things to do and see. Reenactments going on everyday on the main strip. The local saloons were great and filled with great atmosphere! We did not have enough time to do any tours as we were only there one night but we would come back to explore. We happened to walk into an outdoor concert that was awesome! It was very easy to get around on the local bus that travels by the hotels. We went to get some coffee in the morning at the Pumphouse which was filled with beautiful locally made glass art. It is worth a quick stop!

Staff were nice especially Broadmoor.
Staff were nice especially Broadmoor.
Hotel was not very clean.
You had to go into the CASINO for breakfast - not appropriate for children.
Everyone in the casino could see you in the swimming pool - creepy experience.
Signs up everywhere in case you stole something! Nothing worth stealing.
Lobby so small.
Hotel was a good walk outside of Deadwood.

Had breakfast at the hotel inside the Franklin.
Had breakfast at the hotel inside the Franklin. Excellent food. Gambled at Mr. Wu's where they have free hotdogs, drinks and popcorn for players. We were there on a Tuesday night so the town was very quiet. Prefer to go when there are more people having fun.
Hotel was kind enough to adjust our reservation due to day late arrival because of the inclement weather encountered on-route while touring in our motorcycle.
Cafe staff were wonderful when we arrived cold and wet.
The best breakfast in town is right!!! 😁
Managed to get the bike parked under cover while it rained all day Sunday.
Easy walk to downtown Deadwood.
- Spacious and comfy room
- Breakfast included
- Location: walking distance to Deadwood historic old town; within Casino/ restaurant complex (however no noise from downstairs), hence very convenient if you wanted to gamble/ eat out
- Main area (around reception; comfy chairs) and outside balcony with fireplace and nice mountain view
Breakfast was average for a hotel cold cereal muffins bagels, juice, coffee, make your own pancakes nothings hot such as eggs, or bacon.
Location was great walking distance to downtown deadwood. Hotel seemed to be fairly clean and nicely updated.
The location is excellent. The room was very nice. Clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We were in the newer part, so can't speak to the Victorian part of the hotel. The staff was great, very helpful, and there to answer any questions.
The hotel is in a good location a short walk from downtown Deadwood.
The suite was a good size with separate sitting area and kitchenette.
The bed was comfortable and there were adequate towels.
The suite had good lighting.
Perfect location and they had free parking right across the street which was great because parking in Deadwood downtown can be challenging. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
I loved everything about this hotel. It had a casino on the ground floor, along with a western shop. It was right on Main Street in Deadwood, a perfect location. It was extremely clean and I loved the steam shower.
