Travelers Hotel, hotel in Clarksdale

Set in Clarksdale, Travelers Hotel has a bar. The hotel also offers free WiFi and free private parking. At the hotel, the rooms are equipped with a desk.

We liked the quirkiness of the building and the edgy style of decor. It is independently run by the owner who was friendly and explained all about Ckarksdale. High quality bedding and towels and products and very good walk in shower. Loved Clarksdale for its music and history. The atmosphere is very relaxed and has a self service bar and kitchen area where you can store and cook your own food. A great communal space where you can relax, chat to other guests and listen to live music.

HOSTEL Auberge Clarksdale, hotel in Clarksdale

Set in Clarksdale, HOSTEL Auberge Clarksdale offers a shared lounge. The accommodation offers evening entertainment and a shared kitchen.

Great hostel - although i’d call this more of a hotel given the size of the rooms and the amenities. The staff were so friendly and helpful and it’s right in the centre of the action in Clarksdale, easy to visit all the amazing blues spots right around the corner.

Clarksdale has a ton of potential.

Clarksdale has a ton of potential. We found it frustrating that we were there for a supposed big music festival and restaurants were out of food early. There did not seem to be enough prep on the part of the facilities to handle the few more people there as the festival has not gained traction yet to be something where massive crowds are an issue.

I loved the town; I have been there many times.

I loved the town; I have been there many times. Good food and music in the bistro district. I recommend Blues Berry Cafe, Red’s, Ground Zero, Hambone’s, the Blues Museum. We commuted to Helena’s King Biscuit Blues Festival Friday and Saturday. I will never stay at America’s Best Value again. We cut our stay short due to our discomfort with the room. There are better places to stay if you plan ahead

    It was a cultural experience.

It was a cultural experience. Talk to Roger at Cathead Music & Art Gallery. He knows everything there is to know abt Clarksdale. Go to Hambone's and Red's Juke Joint. Avoid tamales at Hick's! It was Xmas Eve - restaurants were closed but our hostel hosts included us in their unique Christmas Eve dinner.

We came on a Sunday and were here through Monday. Many restaurants were closed and there were no music venues. I think the best time to visit here is when there is a music festival. The Blues Museum was good.

Clarksdale is a national treasure if you are into roots music. There are a number of music venues, and someone is playing the blues somewhere every night. There are nice cafes and hotels, but beware that the town is pretty shut down from Sunday night to Wednesday except during festivals. People are very friendly!
