I liked that there was a coffee shop on site and that guests received 40% off...that was a huge bonus with not having a breakfast. I was able to grab quick snacks like yogurt for the kids and coffee for us. The rooms felt new and clean! I thought they were so cute! The beds were the best beds we've been in at a hotel in a LONG time which is just great to see they spent some money on that and not just the looks. I was bummed at first to be a bit further out of San Diego but it was SO nice to be out where you could see the water and there was a lovely walking trail we took with the kids! They even had free bikes to use and scooters for kids but we had a little one too so we couldn't do it, but so great for older kids!

we were there for our Son's wedding so we were in festive mode anyway.
We also stayed at a hotel in Otay Ranch Town Center which was much closer to all of the Wedding activities and Wedding. Lots of good places to eat and things to do there.
We like the Rambler because it is more centrally located to all of the San Diego area and is really easy to get in and out of. We prefer to stay at Hotels that are not the homogenous chain type and that have a more local flavor which The Rambler certainly has. We look forward to our next stay at the Rambler. We hope it's soon.

The bathroom is infested with cucarachas / 🪳 roaches
They were everywhere on top of the sink and on my tooth brush I had to trowed it away
The complete bathroom had an horrible smell
I asked for a king size bed and I got a queen size
Not a single chair to sit on
There was no comforter !
I will not stay at this hotel again !!
I sure would love to have my money back
But I know it would be to much to ask .

Horrible experience, first of all at checkin the credit card...
Horrible experience, first of all at checkin the credit card machine wasn’t working so the employee send me to the nearest gas station to get cash from an ATM. After I did that we went to our room and as soon as we open the door we notice water on the flood and the room smelled funny. The AC unit was leaking. The bathroom door don’t have a handle nor a lock, just a freaking whole where the handle goes. There was also a water Roach on the bathroom wall. After all that I honestly couldn’t stay there any longer and we ended up leaving after paying $80 dollars for the night.
Stay was horrible! dirty room after we finally got a room that a key would work for. highly unsafe area!!! People coming up to door trying to buy and sell drugs. Reserved room and prepaid and after arriving was told that the reservation and prepaid price was not valid and charged me an additional fee. Out of necessity i paid and it was a huge mistake. Would have been better to stay in my car. Lesson learned Never again!!!
Hotel Milagro met our needs. We found it to be a typical budget hotel with an acceptable price for the San Diego area. Our room was spacious, comfortable enough, and quiet enough; it could have been cleaner. The hotel is well-located -- it offers easy access to San Diego by public transportation (tram and/or bus), and there are restaurants nearby. Breakfast is not offered.
The location for this hotel worked perfectly if you are taking Uber of Lyft from Chula Vista to Gaslamp. The area itself is good as it is quiet enough location for you to rest. The room is small but well kept and housekeeping was phenomenal there as they cleaned my room every day I was there, which is rare during COVID times.
Safe and secure. Plenty of parking. McDonald's is just across the parking lot. Other restaurants close as well as a mall. Near J St Marina which has a park and beach. Close to downtown San Diego and downtown Chula Vista, Imperial, Ocean, Mission, and Pacific Beach communities, SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, and Balboa Park.
My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was practically new, and in a lovely little area close to shops and restaurants. We found the staff to be very friendly and courteous. We will definitely be staying in other Hampton Inns in the future.
So I actually booked the location for my friend who was traveling with her family. Her first hotel claimed she would be charged more because of her two small children. She needed a hotel the same day. This hotel was not only cheaper but nicer than her original booking
Exceptionally clean, very comfortable room. Nice fire pit at the pool area. Coffee shop was convenient, and especially nice to get 40% off as a hotel guest. Easy check in, on site parking. Close to freeway and Imperial Beach.
The room was beautiful and wonderful. We loved the fact that it was an historic landmark. The room was quiet and clean and the staff was wonderful! I also loved that the rooms were named for different districts in San Diego
The breakfast was amazing. Special thanks to Alex, who managed the breakfast and was very welcoming. He really made our days here start great!
The location is perfect for trips to both San Diego and Tijuana as well.
Great historical hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel is also conveniently located right by the 3rd Ave downtown area which has plenty of great restaurants, shops and breweries.
Loved the fun vintage vibe and decor of the hotel. Everything was super clean. It’s near the E Street Transit Center. I liked the nearby walking/biking trails. The bed was super comfy.
Our trip to San Diego was so comfortable with the stay in Holiday inn in Chula Vista!
We had so good breakfast with big variety of food!
The workers were helpful and nice!
