The room was clean and well equipped. It was right across the street from a restaurant and gas station, which was really convenient. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Few outside dining options. Great marina. Great charter fishing with Captain Harry Nields on the Kingfish II. Few breakfast options with outside seating in early June during the week. Still a lot of maintenance going on. Town not ready for week long visitors.

Nearby state park has a lovely beach.
Nearby state park has a lovely beach. Ocean side has wildlife refuge with great bird watching. Amazing kayaking in the estuary. Town has boardwalk and old Victorian Houses. We stop here every year on our way to the Outer Banks
Dining options not great for healthy eaters. I bring a cooler with my own breakfast

There are new options we did not have time to explore arrived late and left early. We had two great breakfasts. Would have explored more seafood options but hours of operation did not coincide with our availability.

I love the small town feel.
I love the small town feel. The free beach and parking are awesome. The town has cute shops, nice restaurants and a couple of breweries. And if you need more excitement, VAB is only 45 minutes away.

The beach was good.
The beach was good. The rooms were outdated and beds were not comfortable and the AC was too noisy. The beach is within 5-10 minutes walking from the rooms. Walking from the hotel to the beach was thru a RV parking area.🤪

So much to enjoy in this charming area.
So much to enjoy in this charming area. Main Street in Cape Charles offers everything including various lodging and dining options, sightseeing, and shopping. There are beaches nearby including one adjacent to Jack's Spot at Sunset Beach (Sunset Beach is a great multi-lodging-option resort!) Only about 4.5 hours from our home in PA, it's close enough for a long weekend.
We stayed one night in the hotel and the next morning went down to talk to someone in the lobby about the unsatisfactory conditions of the hotel and the staff was super helpful. They gave us a cabin in the KOA campground attached to the hotel. The cabins were clean and spacious. They did have a restaurant down by the beach which was only open limited times during this time of year but it had very good food and the staff were wonderful. The beach is dog friendly and small but very nice.
I liked that the room included a kitchen, I was not expecting that. The room was cleaned well. It was nice to be able to go to the beach and come back for a shower and relax. Its a great location to Cape Charles, VA and other south outer coast areas of Virginia. Its a peaceful area. We love visiting the bay and coastal areas. This hotel was more in our budget than others but it felt safe and was easy to find.
The pool was wonderful and beach location was great! KOA campground area was exceptional … well maintained and colorfully decorated. We stayed in hotel , room was decorated nicely and clean. Bed was comfortable. Most staff we met during morning and day were very friendly and helpful. Didn’t get to eat at restaurant but looked nice and was busy. Cool atmosphere. Lots of beach fun for families.
The kitchen was a good asset although we only used the microwave and refrigerator/freezer for this leisure stay. Shore Stay Suites hotel is pet friendly which made our stay more relaxing to have our fur baby with us. A generous room size with all the amenities of home was quite comfortable. An added plus was that the staff were friendly and welcoming to us. We will definitely visit again!
Perfect location to spend the night on our way to the Outer Banks from NJ. The rooms and grounds were very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly. Cape Charles was a short drive away. I’ve stayed at a few hotels on Delmarva on this route and this is definitely the place I would come back to.
It was lovely and clean, comfy and practical, not a huge room but had what we needed. An organized place. Wifi password right on back of entry door. The tiny town of Cape Charles is adorable. Ate in the shady area at the brewery.
The motel room was very clean, comfortable bed, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, large flat screen tv, small table & 2 chairs. Had a pool but we didn't use. We spent one night. It was near by Cape Charles.
Nicely renovated older motel. The room was small but everything was clean and comfortable. Nice to have bunnies and chickens as well and it was about 10 minutes to the Cape Charles beach.
The staff were very nice and receptive. The hotel has undergone a recent remodel and rooms have been updated. Motel guests had access to next door KOA campground facilities including beach.
Pet friendly. Nice beach. Rooms were cute. Dog park. Well staffed. Lots of things to do. Inexpensive for the time of year. Will return annually as we make our way to the outer banks.
The location was perfect for what I had planned while in Cape Charles. The comfort and immenities of the room were great. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.
