It was a great location for us. We met family for a family celebration. It was close to their house. We had a lot of room. It was nice that we weren’t crowded in our room. I appreciate that! The coffee was good and we had a few cups. When we travel, coffee gets us through the day. Thank you!

Best Western Gateway Grand, hotel in Alachua

Located off Interstate 75, this hotel is 2 miles from Santa Fe College. It features a free airport shuttle and an on-site restaurant. Every guest room offers free Wi-Fi.

Location just off the highway was a perfect stop over on our long drive from Naples to Atlanta. Nice large hotel with spacious rooms. The only thing we missed was the breakfast which ends at 9am on weekdays rather than the 10am we were used to. Our fault on not reading the signs properly.

I love the spread out town, and have been staying there since 1988 while attending the NHRA Gatornationals Championship Drag Racing event. Would relocate to that area if I could land a good job there.

Very pretty town. We found a Cuban cafe that was awesome! We liked the area it was safe and not particularly busy. The springs were very busy with crowds but itself was beautiful. We would come visit the other springs in the future.

    We went to Blue Spring.

We went to Blue Spring. Unfortunately, we arrived just in time for a rain storm to begin. Advice for visitors - enjoy it! The only thing you need to prepare for is to cover your car's floor mats, as there is a sandy dirt road on the way in, and more sand at the site. It's a very nice place to spend the day. We went to a couple really nice restaurants: The Great Outdoors, and The Diner (50s theme, complete with a big Elvis to greet you!) We explored the historic district, and it was very charming. Also visited antique stores and thrift stores. Found some really great items at both.

Honestly one of the better rooms we've stayed in. Double Queen Suite with pull out couch bed. This room was very spacious.....much more than expected. Hotel seemed new because everything was super clean and tidy ...even the elevators were nice . Breakfast was what we've come to expect but was very nice . Pool area was clean an nice ...I even noticed thar the employees had a whole separate area away from the main building where they could go hang out on break and smoke etc. Very nice experience over all .

I like to say I'm way too old to have a 22-year-old daughter but I do and she was graduating from the University of Florida this weekend. When I arrived at the hotel they can find no record of any kind of my reservation. Even though I had a confirmation number provided by booking.com My guess is as it was graduation weekend they chose to throw out my reservation and sell the room for much more money. It was a horrible first experience with booking.com

That there was a room available. Football game had most of the rooms anywhere in Gainesville taken and the ones that weren’t ran $500+ up into the thousands for two nights
