Fantastic staff and in a lovely area. Very close to the airport and it was both safe and not too far away from a shopping mall. They also give you a lift to the airport for free so if it is the end of your journey it is perfect.

    Entebbe is a nice city , not so crowded and airpolluted as Kampala . Victoria mall has a big supermarket , KFC , fitness centre and cinema etc. Worth to visit . The lake and airport are nearby and if you have a taxi and take the paid Highway ( toll ) , you are in 40 min or less in kampala and surroundings . maybey the botanic garden and zoo are worth to visit but we didn't go there yet . Probably next year .

    We were visiting friends so didn't see very much of Entebbe. However our overall impression was that it was a much quieter and calmer place to stay than Kampala, where we have stayed previously. We did visit the zoo, which was very enjoyable.

    Entebbe is an old town with a mix of colonial and modern infrastructure. It is quiet, peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature - Lake Nalubaale aka Victoria, Kisubi and Ziika forests, the Botanical Garden, the Zoo and other wildlife sanctuaries, and much more. The air is always crispy and fresh due to low volumes of traffic and the population is not as dense as it is in Kampala. Accommodation in Entebbe ranges from high-end to budget. There is always something to suit your pockets. Simply go through booking.com to check out the options available. Additionally, there are wonderful restaurants where you can get all types of food - Chinese, Indian, Thai, Ugandan, West African, Continental, and Fast Foods. For activities, one can take nature walks, boat rides, tour the botanical gardens and historical sites, visit the zoo, Ramsar sites and other sanctuaries, engage in bird watching, shop at the craft market, swim (there are several hotels with swimming pools), and drink, among others. While entry into the State House is strictly forbidden, one can walk around it for optical nutrition as photography is also forbidden. Generally, Entebbe is the place to go to when you want peace and quiet in your life. When you want to rejuvenate your stressed soul or rediscover your lost self. It is the first and last impression for travelers by air, as it houses the only international airport in the country. And for a first and last impression, it surely does not disappoint.

    The beaches were very nice.

    The beaches were very nice. You can reach Kalangala Island in a fairly good amount of time. Victoria mall offered International meals too at very affordable prices. Local foods are organic and very tasty. Boda boda services were my favourite, to experience everyday life as it is, in Entebbe.

    I always stay at Entebbe in preference to Kampala - much...

    I always stay at Entebbe in preference to Kampala - much cleaner with less traffic and pollution, right next to the airport and now linked to the capital by a fast and cheap expressway. There are plenty of reasonable quality restaurants, a first-class shopping centre and several sights (botanical gardens, zoo etc) to visit.

    The best fit for my long awaited holiday in a serene environment. The grilled tilapia with potato wedges and the cocktail juice were awesome. Boda rides and matatus very close. One night stay ain't enough.
