The room and bathroom look exactly like in the pictures - very spacious and clean.
Bunda is very kind and friendly. He prepared a very fresh and abundant breakfast for us every morning at the time we agreed upon. One day he accompanied us to the beach. The beach, airport, and city center are very close, easily and safely accessible on foot, as well as by tuk-tuk or boda-boda.
Ali - the owner is also very nice and honest. He responded to all our requests very promptly. He advised us not to book the whale sharks tour until someone assures us that they have been seen the previous day. All tours on the island can be booked at very good prices directly from the owner.

Everything was very fine - even if the accommodation is not yet perfect and still missing some finalization. But I was very happy at your place and I can recommend Maweni absolutly especially for guests just coming by ferry boat as you could reach Maweni in a couple of minutes by food, as well very close to the Mafia airport. All the nice food and the taking care of everything I really appreciated. I was very amazed about the taking care of the beach and the garden every day, the view and the nice and open location. Wonderful personal attention truly relaxed and a glimpse into a world so different from our own. Fantastic views fruit bats, dhows traditional houses and baobab trees. Also blue lagoon, crystal clear with fascinating upside down jellyfish. This is a place for authenticity rather than luxury. The food is good but be prepared to eat a lot! We were well and truly looked after with great trip snorkelling on the reef.
