We had a very relaxing stay. The property and room were tranquil and spacious. There was so much food during meals and snacks / ramen in the room. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. When we said we needed to buy tea as gifts, he let us try multiple teas and gave us helpful tips to purchase tea at their family’s store in Alishan.

They upgraded us from a double room to a quadruple room - for free! The front desk staff were very helpful in explaining to us how to watch the sunrise at Alishan and where in the park to visit.

We arrived late (after dinner) and it was dark and raining heavily. Hosts came out to greet us with umbrellas and took our luggage to the rooms. Breakfast next morning was excellent and we could not finish. Host packed the balance with extra homemade bread for us to eat during our journey. House and rooms are amazing, comfortable and luxurious. Room rate is steep, but highly recommend stay for special occasion(s).

We had travelled to Alishan via public transport, so the couple offered to drive us from the minsu into town for dinner, and then back again. They were so welcoming, and were also able to accomodate our dietary restrictions (both vegetarian) for breakfast, which was very delicious! We were only able to stay for 1 night, but there's so much to see at Alishan, so we're definitely looking forward to coming back and staying here again!

You definitely need some form of transport arrangement if you have big luggages because it’s located on a mountain, and there are many vehicles around. The location was gorgeous, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were welcoming and friendly - we so enjoyed our time drinking tea and visiting with them! The delicious homemade breakfast was a wonderful bonus, but our favorite part of our stay was spending time talking with our outgoing and friendly hosts. This was one of our favorite places on our 12 day journey through Taiwan!

Hosts helped us with providing contacts of a driver who was basically our tour guide for 2 days - super helpful as I was travelling with elderly folks. Breakfast was ordered by the hosts from a typical Taiwanese breakfast shop, with good variety (breads with various stuffing). Fifth floor of the building has an open air space that has a good view.
