Loved Chaweng, we stayed in 10 different hotels! Highly recommend Chaweng regent beach resort, staff, food, room was fantastic!! Its sister hotel melati was stunning! However at the tip of koh samui, reception was at the top, a lot of walking up and down steps, if you want the nightlife and nice places to stay, I recommend staying in Chaweng, don’t waste money on anywhere elseCranch - 10Scored 10

Chaweng is a quiet, clean family beach. But if someone is looking for some water sports the facilities may be limited. There are a number of massage parlours in the area. So after a good time in the beach one can relax and rejuvenate for the next day. There are a variety of restaurants offering different cuisines. Cheweng is extremely busy, very loud, traffic non stop, walking difficult as pavements very small and uneven and the road too busy to walk on. Prices for food and drink expensive for Thailand. There is however plenty of choice for eating and drinking and for people who want a full on party experience type holiday they certainly won't be disappointed! Beach was very nice however often it wasn't there due to high tides.

Chaweng is a bustling town with some fantastic restaurants offering the most fresh and beautifully presented Thai, and other nationality food you you could want. We stayed 14 nights and ate somewhere and something different each night - all cheaper than McDonalds! We walked into the room and there was a beautiful welcome display on the bed. it was on a gorgeous bit of beach just far away enough from the busy bit that it wasn’t loud at night. The little Cabin/Villas are so cool and tasteful. And it started with a free upgrade to the full ocean view room. The staff was very welcoming and of assistance throughout the stay. Entering the room for the first time and seeing the view of the ocean was just a bliss and made us feel very relaxed. The room was spacious and very clean. Everything was on point at this hotel. Next time when we visit Koh Samui we will definately choose this hotel again!

Sunsets and sunrises along the beach are stunning. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The main area (Koh Samui- bars and restaurants) is a bit of a walk along the road (20 minutes) so we did end up taking a taxi a few times. But it’s shorter if you walk along the beach. We weren’t able to as the weather was a bit windy and the tide was always in. Breakfast was great lots of choice.
