Capital with a Small Town Feel
Charming and compact Bratislava is the world’s only capital city bordering 2 countries – Austria and Hungary, all watered by the beautiful River Danube. South is the modern city and a peaceful forest, but the real Bratislava attractions are over Novy most (New Bridge), an impressive structure with an UFO-like pylon. The castle on a rock overlooking the Old Town offers the best views of it. The rock itself contains a Jewish cemetery and a literally underground club.
Opposite is St Martin’s Cathedral, coronation site of past Hungarian kings. The cobbled streets behind are lined with outdoor restaurants and bars. The city’s speciality is treska, a cold cod salad, washed down with white wine from the nearby Small Carpathian mountains.
The main square is Hlavne namestie, home to pastel-coloured buildings, a 14th-century town hall housing the city museum, and the Bratislava Christmas markets. Hodzovo namestie square features the Peace Earth sculpture and Baroque Grassalkovich Palace, the presidential residence guarded by the Slovak National Guard. Across the park is the Archiepiscopal Palace, seat of the government. All around are many Bratislava hotels, B&Bs and apartments available on Booking.com.
Before heading to Bratislava Airport, visit Kamzìk TV tower whose revolving restaurant and observation deck offer magnificent city views.

Divan mali grad,istorijski bogat ,a opet pun prednosti jednog modernog evropskog grada. Još su divniji ljudi koji u njemu žive. Izuzetno ljubazni, uslužni ,spremni da pomognu čak i kada niste pitali. Tu su slični nama,da kada vidimo nekoga ,ko je da kažemo u rebusu i ne može nešto da odgonetne, oni se vrlo ljubazno i nenametljivo ponude ako mogu da pomognu. Sjajno, bolje preporuke od toga je nemoguće dati.

Bratislava je lep, miran grad. Stari deo ima prelepu pešačku zonu. Njime voze samo tramvaji i vozila za turističke obilaske. Hrana je izvrsna. Ima velik broj malih i velikih restorana. Cene su niže nego u Pragu. Stari grad je manji, manje je turista, pa se može opuštenije šetati i uživati. Posebno nam se svideo Slovak Pub.

Prvi utisak o Bratislavi je da se svuda oseća uticaj socijalističkog režima.. Miran grad, sa širokim bulevarima, i stambenim blokovima. Jedino sam centar odiše drugačijom atmosferom, i tu se i nalazi sve ono što je zanimljivo videti u Bratislavi-Stari grad i dvorac Hrad., sa koga je i pogled na Dunav izuzetan.
