Really friendly staff and the breakfast was good. Also the free waffle bar from 4-9pm was a bonus. Our room was large and clean. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location in the city, reasonably close to the station although a little further away from the ferry terminal that I had thought when booking. Nice provision of refreshments in the reception area - nice pastries! Good high ceilinged room (this is why I like booking old-style city hotels). Opening windows - great!

The staff were lovely - helpful and very kind. Love the decor, its sort of sensual burlesque. Love the ornate wrought iron staircase in the bar lounge and the decor is warm and welcoming. I liked that although it was a Monday night the hotel bubbled with people and energy. Comfortable bed.Really good breakfast, even for vegans!
