Hotels near Sävast

Eclectic chalet set in the woods away from the main road. Very Hansel & Gretel. Not isolated as many other similar cabins around the area too. Close enough to Lulea (<40mins) to make flight without silly start times. Impression that its a family's northern cabin and they rent it out when they don't need it so you really get a feel of Sweden rather than some bland national chain. Tolerant host when I messed up the booking with a typo in my email address so never received any confirmation etc. Be aware the numbers provided created issues with contact and the only way I resolved the issue was a direct phone call to the owner (messages didn't work UK to SK number) followed by multiple calls to Booking.com customer services until they spotted the simple typo error. Well equipped with lots of space for a family for a fortnight (we were just two for one night). Everything we used worked and although we ate out in Ranbyn (lovely steak) I'm sure you could cook for 6 without issue. Beds were comfy with good blinds and enough blankets etc.

Everything was so perfect ✨ Katherine is so kind, the place is just magical. Breakfast was rich and tasty, very simple check-in, the beds were confortable, the nature is beautiful. And I saw many Northern Lights from there!

Beautiful cabin for a secluded escape. The layout/space is really calm and comfortable. We loved cooking both in the house and the grill hut and having cosy evenings in the amazing sofa with the fire on before venturing out to see the Northern Lights - which we were lucky enough to see twice even in September here. The hosts provided a great and thorough guidebook.

A lovely cabin with everything we needed for our short stay, and I am sure it would have been just as comfortable for a longer stay. A good size for a small cabin, we were comfortable with 4 adults and did not feel we got in each others way. Very easy using the door code, lovely to have the small fire inside the cabin and the sauna available outside. Good communication from the host, very clear and easy to follow instructions. The cabin was also easy to find via car from the city, just a short drive.
