Jimmy was excellent and so helpful. The property is well presented and perfect for a base to explore from
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.
We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution.
You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%.

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing...
Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants.
If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.
Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors.
To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course.
Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

Everything is good except Food.
Everything is good except Food.
Mahe is very touristic and in most places prices for food are too expensive comparing to what you can get on Praslin or La Digue.
Sometimes you pay 2x but get the same or even smaller portions and lower quality in restaurants than on other islands.
Everything went so well. I visit Mahe with my girlfriend and this is the place to be! The owner was an amazing person and did everything to give us an amazing experience. It was one of the best holiday rentals we had. The room was super comfortable and had everything we can ask for. Location wise is the best place to stay in the island and everything is close by. Supermarket, restaurants, bars... everything you can ask for. The owner was super available and reply to all of our concerns and questions. FIVE STARS!!
Amazing place to spend a vacation on the Seychelles if you are interested in a quiet and cozy place with a good connection to the best beaches of Mahe. The rooms are new, spacious and very well equipped. They look exactly as on the photos. It's also necessary to mark the hospitality of hostess Jessie and her family, who treated us with fruits, juices and even delicious fish barbecue. They helped us also in all our questions regarding our stay and traveling.
The Villa Lima is super place to stay on Mahe island. It's easy to find and from it you can go to all the sides of island. It was very comfortable to stay there. Villa was fully equipped with every you might need. Cleaning was every few days. Angelle, the owner, is super nice, friendly and helpful. She predicts all you might need. She helped us with ideas where to go and what to do. Angelle thanks a lot, if you read it)
I had an amazing stay at The Seaboards, friendly staff, super clean and spacious apartment. Bertrand was very helpful in booking my excursions and advising the best places to visit throughout my trip. It felt like I had a personal assistant. Thank you to you all for making my holiday a wonderful and memorable one. I highly recommend the Seaboards to anyone traveling to Seychelles
The location is right in front of Beau Vallon. Easy access to everything, and very convenient since stores, restaurants and even COVID-19 PCR testing are just walking distance away.
The staffs are super nice and accommodating. Lissa is super nice. She gave us a wedding gift since we had our wedding in Seychelles and even helped my husband when he had issues with the ATM.
- The workers in the reception were great! they helped us get a car, organize our days at Mahe and they even let us stay at the pool after we checked out before our flight back.
- The view from the rooms is outstanding!
- The hotel is really small, so it is quiet and the pool is almost private.
- The room is well designed and the kitchen has everything you need.
Beryl is one of the most wonderful and interesting people I’ve met. She is so lovely and helpful. She really treats you like you’re family.
The breakfast is also amazing and very much worth the price. Freshly made with fruits from her own garden.
We will definitely come back when we visit the Seychelles again!
We had a wonderful stay at the apartments on top of Jimmy’s house. He is such a kind person that really elevated our stay in the Seychelles. The food he can cook for you is also amazing for a very fair price! If you don’t mind a appartement at a higher altitude we would definitely recommend staying here.
staff were very kind, professional, accommodating. one of the best experiences in Seychelles. the manager on duty we spoke to her regarding some noise- she was extremely pleasant, very hospitable and did an amazing job to make us happy. incredible communication skills. we were very touched
Really lovely little villa with it's own plunge pool, just a short walk to the beach. Great start to our holiday in the Seychelles and just down the road from the rum factory. You will need a car if you want to explore more of Mahe as this is the quiet end of the island
My favorite place on Mahe Island. Every time I come, it is always great. I highly recommend. Service is amazing, the team is the best, place is well maintained, pricing is good, and the view is just wow... especially if you compare to other locations.
very nice owner who cares about customer satisfaction. A typical house gesture, but also probably the cheapest on the island. You can use the kitchen, access to fresh water. Coconut as a welcome treat. Very nice view from the room
The property is located DIRECTLY at the beach at the most beautiful part of the island where there is much nature
Just a stunning location! Wake up, go swimming in the ocean, drink your coffee and love life! :-)
4th time on island and this is the best place my family been at. It has everything you need for comfortable staying, beautiful view and very nice and helpful hosts! thank you Alfred and Martha!
