A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season.

A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season. We visited in February so almost everything was closed. It was lovely because there were no tourists and you could easily find a place in a restaurant (although it wasn't that easy to find an open restaurant). The center still has the feel of an old-type fishing village with tiny cute white and blue houses, but you can see and feel the pressure of the modern beach town which is just behind the old city center. Great beaches and amazing cliffs add to the attractiveness of Porto Covo both in winter and in summer.

Gorgeous spot to visit if you want to stear away from big crowds. Views are breathtaking with a bunch of beaches connected by caves and grottos. There really isn't much else there. A small little village with some eating facilities and a small supermarket. It's a perfect spot for one day and night. The fact that you can park your car wherever you please is also very nice.

Great location for beach goers, with multiple pristine, gorgeous coves in close walking proximity. Friendly staff; we were upgraded to an ocean front view room and they were able to accommodate our request for a late checkout, last day of our trip so we were able to enjoy the beach before our long flight home. Breakfast (included) was plentiful and offered many options. Our trip included stays at 5 hotels, this was the only one that actually had a stocked mini fridge.

Porto Covo is an attractive little town with a small fishing harbour. The Main Street has a lot of very touristy shops. A fair choice of restaurants to eat in but nothing special. It was easy to get to using the very efficient Portuguese bus service and a good place to start walking the Rota Vicentina.

    Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant.

Beautiful little town. Nice restaurant. Lovely little local fish and fruit market open in the mornings only. No main supermarket that I could see, only small local ones. But a beautiful beach and cove.

Sweet town, but very touristy feeling.

Sweet town, but very touristy feeling. Tour buses dropping people in, and the restaurants felt geared for tourists too. (though check out the pizza place in the main street, excellent). Great view from the coastline but not a swimmable beach. Really central to some great day trips, but I think there are better towns in the area for a longer stay. Check out the horseriding nearby, excellent.

Very nice place with a direct view at the ocean. Regardless whether you have a lot money or not , this is a place for you. You can choose between a nice Hotel room for yourself or a bed in dorms/Hostel style room. The service is just perfect and the people are super nice. A side note : The German description says something about bathtubs when booking the most expensive rooms but there are none. But even that was handled perfectly by the manager.

The ocean house has a fantastic location within Porto covo, within walking distance of the small village with plenty of restaurants, as well as incredible beaches close by. Ocean house is a comfortable stay, that feels connected with the surrounding environment. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as wel as providing a fantastic breakfast. Would recommend for anyone visiting Porto Covo.

Nice apartment with 3-4 rooms for rent and a small patio to hang out. All tidy and super modern. Fully equipped kitchen with cereals, cookies, (good!) coffee and tea for breakfast-self-service, offered for free (even non-lactose milk). Porto Covo is small, so all is nearby: restaurants, beaches, bus stop, fishermen trail. Would definitely recommend this spot and apartment

It's very central - Porto Covo is small but this is also near the parking. The house is very well equipped with everything one needs (and probably even more) for cooking and enjoying some holidays. We only stayed one night but for those staying longer I doubt that they'll be missing anything - potentially, depending on amount of luggage there's not much storage space.

Recently renovated apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Great location, just 2 mins walking from the town's main square and 5mins walking from the closest beach. Next to a small square with some parking space. Beds were comfortable, though a bit hard, which might not please everybody. Host was very nice and quick to reply.

A very warm welcome and great experience. I could not have asked for more in my short visit to Porto Covo. Clean, spacious, well decorated, literally next to the beach and on the Main Street with restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and very quiet, exactly what you need after a day walking. Thank you Luisa

As a family we loved this place. we would live there full time if we could. Right in the center of town, 5 minutes from the beach and around the corner from the town square and a grocery store. So much space and the everything you need to live. My family loved it.
