One of the nicest place we slept in Philippines. The bungalows are just by the river, sounds of the nature (and of the loud music at day time from thoae touristic boats). We came by small boat (one pf the options to come to the hotel), and we liked the short trip via jungle river. Clean rooms, cosy restaurant and nice staff. Delicious food, good options for breakfast.

Everything was perfect - the location is perfect to go everywhere in Bohol and you can easily rent a scooter to the hotel (very cheap - around 6€ a day and 2/3€ full fuel) - the staff is amazingly nice and friendly, they look after you and wants te help you. They also advice you some nice places to go.
The lodge is so amazing, in the nature with the beautiful Loboc river where you can swim and paddle or do some kayac. The rooms are amazing and sleeping in the forest has never been so good.
You can also book excursions (island for ex) from the hotel.
Breakfast, smoothies and diner are very good, big and so cheap!!

This, by far, was my favourite place to stay during our two week holiday. I loved the bamboo accommodation and being so close to the river. We went on a wonderful boat ride at night. It was so dark, but the sky was lit with a million stars. Along the river bank, only the outlines of different trees and shrubs could be seen, while fireflies danced on a few of the treetops. An enchanted place♥️
Sitting on the banks of the Loboc River, the Loboc River Resort offers rooms that combine wood and local materials with modern comforts. It features a restaurant, bar, and souvenir shop.

ROOM:
Our room was fully equipped, comfortable, clean and cosy. We appreciated the little touches like drinkable water refilled every day, the international plugs, provided flip flops in case you forgot to pack your own. just a note, maybe the lighting in the toilet could also be a warm tone color instead of it being blazing white... just a little detail.
FOOD:
Restaurant was excellent and delicious. The food is yummy and we truly had great Filipino dishes, we recommend that you try the vigan Adobo, crispy patta and Buko halo halo.! The team is however overwhelmed and we feel like they should have more people serving as we found ourselves coming in to eat VERY early as we didn’t want to have to wait a hefty time to eat in the evening.
BREAKFAST:
A must. The breakfast was soooo delicious with a huge variety for everyones taste! The best of course, was the Filipino dishes and fresh fruits!
ATMOSPHERE:
We really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and the calm. The gardens, pool and loboc river provide a lovely view and restful time. The pool is great, we recommend you spend a good amount by the fountain of the pool as this is where we got to observe a huge Lizard in nature for hours.
You truly feel reconnected with nature.

I would absolutely rate Loboc as somewhere to visit!
I would absolutely rate Loboc as somewhere to visit! We had the most fantastic time staying at The Water to Forest Ecolodge and hired scooters to visit the chocolate hills and explore various waterfalls (head off early and you'll probably find you have Pangas Falls all to yourself (it cost about 20pesos to access & had a shop selling drinks and snacks on the roadside). The scenery is absolutely stunning and the locals are just the friendliest we've ever encountered. A beautiful place, I feel very privileged to have visited.

Loboc was a great place to explore the sights of bohol and the loboc river. Quite far from Panglao / alona beach so don’t recommend basing yourself here if you want to do more beach stuff/ island hopping. Would recommend one or two full days in Loboc- you can do the chocolate hills and tarsiers in the same tour. Also Paddleboarding down loboc river was really fun. Evening Firefly tour was special too! Loboc river resort was a great place to base yourself- and the food in the restaurant amazing! Avoid the animal park/butterfly farm it’s cruelty! But do go to the tarsier sanctuary in corella as they treat the tarsiers better (or so the lonely planet says!) than other places.

Loboc is a very small town so two nights at the fox and firefly was perfect for us. There’s lots to do- we did Stand up paddle boarding, firefly watching, Tarsiers, Twin hanging bridge, mountain biking, Loboc eco adventure park where we zip lined and did the cable car and lots of exploring! We ate at the Fox and Firefly breakfast, lunch and dinner- the food is amazing!!! We used our moped to travel around, without this you would need a driver.

The place have a beautiful river.
The place have a beautiful river. Stand-up puddling is definitely “must to do”: you’re just in the middle of a jungle river, it’s calm and silent, you can only hear the sound of birds, light noise of the palm leaves in case of a wind blow and water splashes, when your paddle touches it’s surface. You’re in the very heart of island’s nature beauty, it’s all just around you!

Great place to stay and chill.
Great place to stay and chill. Loboc river is very beautiful and calming to travelers especially when you try the river cruise (we got to rent a boat to ourselves). It has a lot to offer in terms of attractions, places to eat, activities to try and many more. Travelling here is totally worth it!
Very authentic place, if you want to get a glimpse of the real philippino lifestyle. The location is beautiful, lots of vegetation around and the river Loboc has the prettiest color next to the lodge. We were very happy when almost all restaurants were closed (besides street barbecue), and our host still prepared a delicious meal for us, after returning from an exploration day. It was already 20:30 o’clock, which is considered late for dining in Philippine. We were very happy and grateful for the service received.
nice hotel, easy to find with a motor bike. Good location in Loboc, so you can easily do a one day trip by motor bike to Loboc River Cruise, Chocolate Hills, Tarsiers, rice terraces, Anda, man made forest, etc.
The light in the bathroom of our booked room did not work, so we got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Also the pool in the middle of the hotel is awesome.
I love everything about this place! It's very refreshing to be surrounded by nature right next to the Loboc river. The staff were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They can also arrange activities and tours during your stay. I enjoyed the night SUP and the full moon entertainment event that they had set up. It was memorable! Would definitely recommend. 🙂
Stayed there for a few days, it felt like a movie. The scenery is unreal, the room is a wooden house in the forest on the shore of the loboc river.
The staff was extremely helpful with everything, and the hostel propose activities to enrich your stay (hikes with guides, spa, massage, night cruise on the river...).
Really good food and breakfast.
Excellent stay at GB Loboc River GH in Jimilian! Kudos for the squeaky clean room, the amenities, and the overall comfort. It truly felt like the perfect place to rest after exploring Loboc. Special thanks to Ate Abeth and all the staff who were more than helpful and made our stay easy and pleasant. Daghang salamat!!
The resort closed to the Loboc river is really nice. We were staying in 2 large and confortable rooms . The staff from the resort is always smiling and happy to help you.
There are 2 pools in the resort, but the one closest to our rooms was almost always empty and waiting for us only to enjoy it !
A wonderful experience, falling asleep to the sound of the Loboc River and the jungle. We only had one night but we made the most of it swimming in the river, playing ping pong on the deck and we had the best massage ever. The staff were so caring, friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
Amazing place to stay on a Beautiful River. I loved being able to swim all day, relax In The jungle, lay in hammocks , walk down the quiet local streets, kayak down the river and engage with the people from local villages long the river! I felt so t need to and taken care of while at the lodge.
Super friendly staff who helped and gave advice. I was practically the only one there so I felt very welcome and even went to their house to have a traditional meal. Perfect location by the river and great value for money. Wi-Fi spot on and hot showers also.
Amazing spot - fantastic staff and restaurant.
Night tour on paddleboards on the river to see the fireflies was really cool.
Handled pick and drop off from the port and rented me a scooter too.
I’ll definitely be back.
Thanks!!
The place is great, located in a parcel of beautiful forest right next to a lovely emerald river you can jump and swim in anytime.
The staff is just so sweet. Love those girls!
And the food is really good, all home-made.
Simple hotel but you cannot ask for more for that price.
Michelina's hospitality.
Spacious and clean room.
Wifi worked well.
Good breakfast for 150 PHP.
It was possible to arrange a driver for a tour.
this place had an adventure just getting there which was half the fun. the river was a joy. the views were spectacular. food was pleasant and had good variety. the walk to the rooms was a gardeners love.
Located directly at the river. You can have breakfast at the river which is nice. The pool is also quite good. The staff is very friendly you can book many tours there
Hot shower with enough water
The best cooked shrimps in the Philippines ! Lovely staff. Great info on what to do on the island. Nice view on the lake and close to the river cruise entrance. Thank you
The view is spectacular. The staff and the service are outstanding. Located very close to zip lining, the tarsier, conservatory, and Loboc river cruise.
