Fabulous room, very kind receptionist and other staff. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing, so was the swimmig pool where we spent 2 hours. We would love to return.

Excellent location right next to the beach, access to the terrace at the top of the building to view the sunrise, good AC, good Wi-Fi, two bathrooms, hot water, free parking, friendly staff
Excellent location. But I would suggest that you allocate a separate place away from the hotel rooms for the scrap items as otherwise it invites snakes and scorpions to the rooms. Also recommend a Table Fan at the food lobby.

It a quiet port town.
It a beautiful little white town.
It a quiet port town.
It a beautiful little white town.
However, compared to the world's famous tourist destinations, it will be a little inferior.
But if you travel in Oman, it would be a good candidate.

Only best place to book is Ra's al jinz resort to see turtles laying eggs. Walk from the resort to the nesting beach is around 1.5 km wear comfortable shoes. Nothing else to do except turtle watch. Avoid the turtle museum on second floor it's not at all maintained and charges 2 RO ( 5 USD) not worth. Book tents they are good and gives you a camping feeling with comfort of a room.

Small town - not a huge amount to do here, we went for a walk along the beach, looked at the lighthouse, and ate at Zaki restaurant (try the butter chicken). We mainly stayed there to break up the journey between the Bimmah Sinkhole (beautiful and definitely worth a visit!), and Wahiba sands. Wouldn't stay here for longer than one night!

Seemed like an underdeveloped and old city.
Seemed like an underdeveloped and old city.
My experience was spoilt due to Covid regulations. We did a PCR Test in Nizwa City (Badr Al Samaa Hospital - they claimed that the reports could be collected from any of their branches in other cities). However collecting the report took us an hours' time, which threw us off our schedule to drive and experience Sur City.

sur is vey beautiful city . it has a very clean beaches and historical places as well. You can visit these places such as Al Sinsilah Fort and Fatah AL Khair Ship. You can enjoy a boat Ride for 15 minutes in Khor Al Batah. from sur you can vsist so many beautiful places such as Ras Al Had and Khor Jarama
Great vista of the sea, albeit a couple blocks away. The hotel room is arranged with 2 others in a semi apartment setting (communal kitchen), but it's entirely private otherwise. Facilities were great and the host even brought a tray to make coffee and tea in my room. There are several restaurants nearby and a big grocery store cattycorner to the hotel. There is a highway right in front, but as it was Ramadan, there was no traffic. The AC works great and there's plenty of hot water. The room is large and nicely adorned.
The hotel is located directly outside the nature reserve and staying there give you the opportunity of a lifetime: seeing turtles come to the beach to put their eggs at night and also seeing baby turtles being born and making their way back to the ocean. The guides made sure that the turtles stayed undisturbed and gave us all the information we requested regarding these amazing animals. The hotel itself offers basic amenities, rooms are big and clean. They also offer buffet style breakfast and dinner.
Very exceptional and not to be missed, what I like about the property was the fact that it was really quite during night time, the outdoor garden area was really nice and lovely,The hotel was nicely decorated and spacious and good value for money. Baring in mind compared to other hotels in that area this hotel has the nicest facilities including the garden that accessibly for all the guests. The host was polite and supportive which always thought to be an important gesture towards the guests
Very helpful staff in the reception, he arrange for us a early check-in on arrival day to another room. Rooms and bathroom are very large. Hotel is located in the corner of the city, behind the bridge, about 15 min by the walk to the city center. Only one issue - if you have a windows from room to the street there is a lot of noise during the day and also evening. In the front of hotel is butcher shop and locals come to the shop by car and by using the car horn they call the salesman.
The site/premises are very beautiful and well designed. Loved all the lighting details at night in particular. The room is very nice and good size. We stayed in the smaller bungalow but felt like plenty. The staff is very nice and helpful!
The highlight was the preselected dinner. The dinner was delicious and felt very fresh. One of the best meals we had in any of the hotels in our stay in Oman. Breakfast was also very very good.
Bit obsolete room furniture, but quite OK generally, interesting atrium style space inside house - local look indeed, professional and friendly reception staff. Old Sur nearby.
What I Would recommend - try to make some path/stairs leading to the sea in a space between hotel breakfast/restaurant terrace and cliff - wud be natural upgrade for guests really.
We were pleased with the high standard of the generous-sized, well-furnished rooms. The beds were comfortable and a large breakfast buffet prepared us for our travels the next morning. Upon arrival, our greeting from the manager exuded warm Omani hospitality and we experienced excellent service throughout our short stay.
The hotel is nice and the people were helpful. It was clean and all the facilities were working. It is quiet and the cars on the street were not noticeable. They offer breakfast for 3 OMR, which is a good price for a big amount of food. We could barely finish it and the quality was really good
Needless to say this is the type of gateway - discover Oman - eco friendly property that we are lucky to have in Oman.
The area is breathtaking.
Best thing? The shower under the stars.
Highly recommended.
Location and proximity to the viewing of the turtles.
Reception staff was very friendly and assuring when I called to inform we would be arriving late and assured me we would still make a viewing for turtles.
the place was nice , clean , well organized , the staff is very cooperative and helpful especially Mr Ajnas, what an amazing manager for the hotel , I loved the place and would recommend it to all my friends
Nice hotel not in the centre of Sur, so it's necessary to have a rent car. Very large rooms with 2 separate rooms and dedicated bathroom plus a living room.
