Staff were friendly and helpful, recommended a great local restaurant on request. The room had comfy beds, good heating and location had a lovely quiet calm feel to it. There was quite a group of us staying and we had a fun time with a few drinks and lots of laughter on returning to our accommodation at nights, this was not a problem and we weren't asked to quieten down or return to our rooms or anything. A bonus is the fabulous Shoppington complex next door, well worth checking out.

This is a farming commercial area close to the Waitomo Caves and cave worms tour. The town is basically two main roads with a few restaurants, stores, supermarket and other services. There is a train stop. We did not use the train for travel. It is only 15 minutes to Waitomo Caves and a good place to start exploring the cliffs along the Pacific Ocean further south.

Cool little township with lots of yummy eateries, shopping & supermarkets. A few memorabilia statues to get pix with. The information centre is very helpful & informative with souvenir Nic Nacs to purchase as well.

The Waitomo Caves is a must-see, and there are other attractions close by. We grabbed lunch at the Waitomo General Store which is more than just a store.The Cafe and menu selection is amazing and very reasonably priced. Cassandra and her team are a friendly bunch and super efficient.

The garden at the cottage was amazing to explore. Te Kuiti has a fantastic Indian Takeaway with a wide range of menu options including a traditional Chicken Tikka Marsala and a toandoor oven to make Naan. Only problem was that we arrived on a weekend and a lot of restaurants nad safes were closed and no shops open (this is normal in New Zealand country areas but not where we come from in Australia). Ladies in the inforamtion centre were very helpful.

The town is very pretty, clean and tidy. The cafe on the right as you drive in is absolutely amazing! Excellent friendly service and food delicious. The New World staff were so helpful and friendly. A very peaceful place.

We stayed overnight en route from Auckland to New Plymouth so saw little of Te Kuiti, but we saw beauty in the surrounds. We don't recommend taking the bypass route missing Hamilton on a rainy night!RichardNew Zealand

Partial kitchen facilities but limited. The hotel will make breakfast for you if you notify them in time the previous day. I believe there is a charge but we did not use this option so I can't comment on how good the food was. the view from the room was very beautiful. I see why the name is Panorama.

Unfortunately, New Zealand had the worst rains and floods for decades so we missed the glow worms. The area still had enough to do we didn't waste any time. We enjoyed visiting the Hamilton Temple visitors center on the way from Auckland.
