Peaceful Pukerua Bay, hotel in Pukerua Bay

Boasting inner courtyard views, Peaceful Pukerua Bay features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 31 km from Westpac Stadium.

The whole vibe was relaxing, thick carpet, embroidered duvet cover, lighting. Black out curtains. Best of all everything was labelled. Liked the breakfast jam. A credit to the hosts.

Front Count member was very helpful and friendly on arrival, offered to change my room which I was grateful for. I cleaner saw me having difficulty getting into my room and assisted myself which I was thankful for. Room was up to standard and comfortable. Seeing it’s over the Christmas prior your staff did a great job.

Relaxing coastal location; friendly locals; beautiful peaceful and inspiring oceanscapes; delicious light for photography; small village feel; not dominated by shops or vehicles; Sunny and energising with the ocean so close and great walking options. Very close to Wellington City, Porirua, Hutt Valley. Can easily be accessed by train journey - station is just a few minutes walk from Pukerua Bay village. Easier to access from the south but can be challenging turning off SH1 coming up the hill from the North. There is a turning lane but quite narrow. Traffic flows on SH1 can be quite steady so timing of drive onto / off SH1 is recommended. We had friendly considerate motorists wave us through when leaving to cross SH1 heading south to go home - they slowed down to allow us through the gap in the traffic. Handy to the popular Kapiti coast and shopping/cafes/restaurants, but gives a sense of freedom from the hustle and bustle of city living. Calm, small scale and such an inspiring environment to enjoy.

Location was excellent for getting around the area, with fabulous sea views from my accommodation. Transport links were close enough if I had needed to use them and there were plenty options for eating casually or good dining in the area.

This is a great location and being on the northern edge of Wellington it meant I could head back up to Auckland quickly on my last day. While staying here I could pop down to seaside Plimmerton (less than 5 mins in the car) for my cafe fix and takeout dinners.

    Just beautiful and restful.

Just beautiful and restful. Didn't stay long enough to really get to know the area. A little tricky to get onto the highway, but well worth it. Ate at recommended Plimmerton Fish Supply and tried Paua Fritters. Yum!
