Magic Mountain Lodge - Lyngen, hotel in Lyngseidet

Overlooking the Lyngen Fjord, this property is set in the town of Lyngseidet, surrounded by mountains.

The hosts are very friendly. When we arrived we were asked for the dinner which we decided to take and felt so happy for our decision. The hotel is located in a very good location and everything you need is in a close area. We will also not forget here because we could see the northern lights from the region. There are many activities also that you can arrange from the hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lyngseidet is an amazing place, lovely people and relaxing place. We stayed there for Christmas and it was amazing. Tommy gave us a gift and was very nice to tell us what we could do at a time of year where nothing is open. The house the location where stunning. What would have been a cherry on the cake was if we could have seen the Northern lights, which was not possible because of bad weather. Other than that we had a blast rolling around in the snow and enjoying the cold weather.

Perfect place to calm down and refresh contact with the nature. Lot of mountain trails of each difficulty start in Lyngseidet. You can eat delicious breakfasts and dinners in Magic Mountain Lodge but there are also two big grocery stores. We didn’t need to eat elsewhere. There is a direct bus no. 150 from Tromsø but be sure there is one on your day of arrival. In this case it’s very helpful an app TFT Mobilett where you can check a timetable and buy the ticket direct by getting on the bus (the validity of the ticket starts from the moment of purchase and lasts about 2 hours).

This is certainly no run of the mill hotel, it’s a unique experience. We were welcomed by the owner and she gave us an elaborate tour of the building and it’s history, which was very much appreciated by us. The building is amazing. The room was beautiful, and there were lots of shared spaces we could use: a huge communal kitchen, a sitting room and much more. We had a private bathroom on the hallway. The area is amazing. We did two hikes in the Lyngen Alps.

My 5th stay here, since 2013 :-) Always nice to be back! Lyngseidet and Lyngen Alps have all you need: amazing nature, mountains, fjords, waterfalls,.. and so lots of opportunities for hiking, skiing, langlauf, mountainbike, fishing,.. and you can get info about all that @ MML itself. So for a good breakfast, diner, après-ski fun, a dose of northern lights or midnight sun go get it there!

We were on a biking holiday and stayed one night in Gjestegård, Lyngseidet. We had a very good night after different hotels and campings: very clean room and bathroom, curtains that kept the sun out, and the best bed since we left home! I forgot my glasses and the owner arranged that his brother took it to Tromsø, our next step. That was so very kind!!!

Cozy and functional cabin in a beautiful place. if the weather is clear, you can see the Northern lights straight from the cabin. The main road from Lyngseidet had been partly fixed, so it was quite quick ride from the village to the cabin.

Solhov was so nice, with a lovely breakfast and dinner served each day! The couple running it have taken on a large project of making the former school into a hotel and are doing it splendidly!
