Beautiful location on the banks of the Tingvollfjord. Everything about this hotel was fabulous and it is definitely in my top 3 hotels out of the 30 I stayed at during my 5 week trip around Norway (actually stayed twice)! Amazing food, particularly the tasting menu dinner. Cozy lounges with real fires and amazing views of the fjord / surrounding mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back!
Tustna Ladestasjon a charging station for body and soul! A good base for mountain, forest and bike tours or a place to enjoy lazy days with a fishing rod and swimming from the rocks.

This is really by the sea. The living quarters are on the upper floor of a boat house, which has a ramp directly into the water. Access to the seaside is via stairs outside. There is a small motor boat available for the guest at no surcharge except fuel. It is extremely well kept and lies at the jetty outside. The living quarters are adequate for 5 people and suit a family really well. Bath is well equipped, has a washing machine and all other facilities. Kitchen is complete, workable for most types of cooking. There even is a pressure cooker. Hot water is abundant. Overall the house is very cosy.
There is a small shopping center just 2km away, where there is a supermarket, fuel and also a small restaurant. Parking is just outside, less than 10m off.

The cabins are located right on the shore of the lake. The view is magical. Everything is very clean and very beautiful. The beds and mattresses are very comfortable. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. The host, Thor, is a special person who really cares that we feel the best possible. I have never met such an exemplary host. Highly recommended.
With garden views, Surnadal Camping Brekkøya is located in Surnadal and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, terrace and children's playground.

I think its a great option, as long as you remember this is a camping site and not a 4-5 start hotel. We stayed in a cabin (bungalow), which was relatively small but had all the conveniences available. A great kids playground was nearby. Plenty of grocery shopping around. Great outside terrace.
