Only the breakfast but considering we had cockroaches in our room I would hate to think what is going on in their kitchen.
The Porto Azzurro Aparthotel, in Xemxija Bay, is prominently situated overlooking the picturesque St. Paul’s Bay with breathtaking views of the Maltese countryside.

Having self catering facilities was good so that we didn’t have to eat out all the time. Good transport links and some nice walks close by.

We used 2 rooms to prepare for our wedding in Rabat. The hotel is amazing with amazing views. I wished to have maltese history as part of our photoshoot and this hotel was the only one that ticked all the boxes.. I loved our rooms and my photos came out perfect ☺️

It is a basic hotel, like 3 stars no thrills. Best point is the rooftop infinity pool, which is cool. Breakfast was ok.
What a STUNNING location! Kirsten went way above and beyond to make me trip memorable. I accidentally locked my keys in the room and she quickly drove over an extra set so that I wasn't inconvenienced. The room was beautiful! I wish I could have stayed longer, such a lovely visit!

Malta is getting ever more developed, but Mgarr is still a semi-rural large village surrounded by wild flowers and vegetable fields. You can walk from the village to the beach, up into the hills or just around the countryside - yet it is also easy to reach any other part of Malta by road via the recently-improved main roads. It has various small supermarkets as well as specialist meat, vegetable and bread shops together with a range of restaurants mostly focusing on Maltese dishes. There is some building work taking place (late 2021) but it is fairly small-scale and not noisy.

Mgarr is not touristic place, that is why the prices are not high and the restaurants have good quality. I recommend the restaurant #Mgarr United Bar & Restaurant# with the national food and drink! Excellent :)
