Breakfast is delicious and plentiful although repetitive every day. Great location close to good beaches and with lots of restaurants in the main street. The Al Ponte restaurant in the hotel has nice meals at affordable prices. Beds were comfortable and room very spacious with plenty of storage room.

We liked everything from this stay, the location, the room, the breakfast. WE loved the letter and the welcome biscuits & liquor. That was surely a surprise and I think it's a plus. Check in was also very easy.
Built on the sides of one of the valleys in Mellieha, the hotel offers exquisite views of the church, the bay, the islands of Gozo and Comino, and the village.

We really liked friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Big thank you to the desk intern girl (blonde), cave bar personnel and breakfast bar personnel for all the great services provided! We also liked the size and location of our studio room with a view to the church, the selection of food at the breakfast bar and happy hours at the cave bar. The location of the hotel is also great, although its located quite far from the capital, it is still conveniently located close to the bus stop and the centre of Mellieha.
Solana Hotel offers modern rooms and studios with free Wi-Fi access, a 10-minute walk from the beach on Mellieha Bay. The rooftop terrace with pool is a real highlight.

Really lovely hosts and great communication. The flat was like a home away from home from us. Loved the location as we wanted to stay away from the crowds. There was everything you would expect from a holiday property and more. It was clear that a lot of thought, with the guests’ comfort in mind, had gone into creating the property.

Love the area, great restaurants (Wagu was our favourite). Theres so much to see and do without the hustle of tourists. Took a 10 min taxi to Golden Bay beach for a hike, you are pretty central to everything. Lovely shops and definitely take a stroll to Sea View Cafe, stunning views with good food and a happy hour.

It’s a quiet town with a reasonable amount of pubs and restaurants. It’s a good base to stay but we went to different places each day. There isn’t enough to keep you busy for a full week if you like to do things on holidays.

We went in the off season (mid April) so the area was quiet and it was easy to get a restaurant, although on the other hand many restaurants were very dead with only 1 or 2 groups inside. The weather was good although very windy, good enough to sit on the beach but not sunbathe or swim. The town was very pretty, it's nice to take a walk up the hill and see the views and older buildings.
We would recommend Blu Club, Amami, and the mellieha heights area at the top of the hill.

Mellieha is a beautiful calm and small town which makes it perfect if you want to avoid crowded cities with a lot of traffic and mass tourism. Climb up the hill and you'll have a fantastic sight onto the bay nearby. the upper town has also beautiful narrow streets and typical houses to see. Not that easy to travel in Malta in general, due to some public transport issues. If I went again, I would avoid long displacements across the island, I would just visit the places nearby. If you are in the northern part and want to have a dayout to the southern Malta, it make take you 4-5 hours go/back with public transport. To avoid the stress and the frustration, stay and visit the places nearby. It's a good excuse to go again and visit the places you missed before!!

Labrsnda Hotel is outside of Mellieha Bay, very vl9se to the ferry port to Gozo; and there are no restaurants or bars nearby. So full board is recommended unless you get a bus, vtaxi or walk to Mellieha Bay which is bustling and it has a lovely sandy beach.
Please note that now on HB, no drinks are included. They were in 2023: local beer, wine and water. We stayed in March 2023 on HB and booked again for March 24; but were not informed of these changes until the first night at dinner when we received a drinks bill.
The green room compensation scheme has also changed: no 'free' ocktails per day per room. Seems to have been a change over "free" alcohol options (although you could've opted for a mocktail previously.)
Drinks are now only available on fully inclusive. However, at the time if booking for us via booking. Com , no all incl was available; neither were we offered an upgrade at reception upon checking in; nor a change in their HB services. So, a cautionary note when booking.

Mellieha is a small town with not a lot to do or see except the supurb WW2 tunnels used as air raid shelters. Also a couple of churches. The Christmas market was on in the square when we were there, which was interesting.
The bus network is fabulous and it is easy to get to anywhere on the island or to the ferry port for Gozo. I recomment the Talinja card for discounted travel.
Very nice house with an exceptional living room and a very comfy bed, located in central Mellieha and not far from the best beach in Malta!!!(Ghadira Bay) And of course, a very helpful host and obsessed with the cleaning - so yes, each corner of the house is spotlessly clean! I cannot recommend it more if you want to stay on the beach and be able to visit the whole island(s) at the same time - Malta has one of the best BUS systems(I've seen so far) and there are hundreds of BUSes a day from and to Mellieha(not exaggerating)
My wife and I have stayed in other stars branch hotels in Malta for a few days before we extend the trip a bit longer.. I think staying in a private holiday apartment is a much better choice than hotel resorts. It is much cheaper and you have a lot more privacy and get to know locals better. This is not something you can do if you stay in fancy resorts. Amazing seafront view, spacious areas, well-equipped with everything you need, quiet location. Surely recommend it to friends and family next time they go to Malta.
Gorgeous and spacious apartament with all the facilities anyone would need. Close to the bus stop and the town centre and just 15 minutes away from the sandy Mellieħa Beach. The landlords Janice and husband have been a couple of stars 11/10. Just like all the wonderfull maltese people they seem to have an innate gift of making you feel welcomed and well looked after. We had an wonderful time in Malta and we will consider again renting the same wonderful apartament on our next trip there!!!
Had an amazing weekend at the Pergola Hotel and Spa in Mellieħa, Malta! The indoor pool offered a relaxing escape, and the restaurant area set a perfect ambiance for meals. Kyal, the receptionist, went above and beyond with exceptional service, making us feel truly welcome. The room was comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious highlights of our stay. Highly recommend this gem for a fantastic getaway!
Good and big hotel, a bit outdated but clean and well-kept. Quite busy during the season. Very close to the beach. Breakfast is good, many options. Bus station is a couple steps away. Recommended. The only thing - far from the center. But this is Malta - all good beaches are far from it. You want a beach - you choose to stay far from the party places and in reverse.
Fantastic location on the bay. Large rooms. Rooms facing north are more interesting to watch the ferry traffic but are sometimes noisy. Swimming in front and in back and in multiple swimming pools. Dinner buffet with wine and beer on tap. Many items. Very tasty options in restaurant across the street. On a bus to many locations. Tickets available in the hotel.
Everything was just perfect! It is located at one of the best places in Malta - Paradise Bay. The food was awesome. Thank you also to the cleaning services and Bhisma Karki, he was always very kind to us and helped us a lot during our stay.
Amazing place with a very nice view and pool. The hotel was close to the restaurants and just 15 mins walk from the beach (2-3 mins by car). Our stay in Malta was lovely and we will definitely plan another trip there in the near future.
Good location, quiet part of Malta, bus service close by, and a short trip to the Mellieha beach. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of options and tasty food. The hotel also has two other restaurants, and a nice swimming pool area.
Everything - been a full refurb since we last stayed . A fantastic hotel with very friendly & professional staff .
I love this area of Malta it’s so relaxing & Quiet . Perfect winter break for us . Room , Food , Staff - 10-10
The hotel is just 30 minutes away from the airport, the place is beautiful, the beach and pools are very nice. The hotel staff is very helpful and we had a fantastic vacation. Restaurants at the hotel are very good.
The location remains perhaps one of the most beautiful in Malta, and the views from the rooms are second to none. The hotel is impeccably clean and the facilities/services offered are also of a high standard.
The hotel is new, modern, comfortable, tastefully decorated and on a quiet street. The room was quite spacious and had a nice balcony. The breakfast was presented nicely and tasty.
The 2 pools were nice and clean and the location of Luna was good. Easy parking outside the complex. Handy to have a mini market and diving centre beside the hotel.
