The most favourite spot was the acommodation itself, his hospitality and the lake itself. I ate in a reastaurant, in the house and on the beech. Everywhere was perfect and delicious. It is easy to get to Virpazar, both from Sutomore and Podgorica. There is nothing to avoid, everything was great.

I thought the lake was over-rated.

I thought the lake was over-rated. We enjoyed a morning kayaking (about 9km) and saw some water birds but I have had much better kayaking experiences elsewhere in pristine environments. In places the water was smelly, I certainly wouldn't swim in it. There was also rubbish floating in various places. Nice from a distance - climb the short track to the monastary and take in a more distant view. The township didn't seem particularly special - a base for boat and kayak trips wand a few restaurants.

An incredible place if you like wildlife and easy walking. A great place to relax for a few days. Lovely lanes and villages to walk looking for tortoises, snakes and lizards. A couple of nice, medium walks off the lanes. The people are very friendly and can speak pretty good English and like a bit of banter. Also has some nice relaxed bars and restaurants, no hard sell.

Virpazar is a very small village - a supermarket, a restaurant by the river and one more close to supermarket. The reason to go there is to sail on the lake - must be gordious in the summer - we were there in beginning of april - a bit chilly and not a lot of birds. But we took a boat trip and visited an old church and said hello to the munks from a nearby convent.

The main attraction is lake skadar, and it’s even more beautiful than pictures I’ve seen on the internet. I’ve never seen so much natural beauty before! You have to book a boat tour in order to truly experience the lake in all its glory.

Very small town, bridge is the main attraction and you constantly get hustled into boat trips round the lake. One of the local restaurants wouldn't let us use the toiled under the pretence of no water, but it is OK for them to use it and serve the food. We have been told they do it often so their toilets wouldn't get dirty. Anyway we left for another restaurant Rostiljada outside of the Virpazar and we were not disappointed.

We loved everything about this place! This was our favorite place we stayed in our entire time in Montenegro. The view was amazing from our room! They brought us coffee and juice upon our arrival. They were very accommodating when we arrived early. We did the boat tour while waiting for our room to be ready. The room was extremely clean. I'd say it was cleaner than some 5 star hotels I've stayed at in the US. The owners of the facility are very welcoming, and I felt right at home. Walking distance from lots of restaurants.

The hosts were exceptionally kind and wellcoming. At our arrival they invited us to have a drink of their homemade grappa with them and left some homemade wine and grappa for us to try in the fridge. In the morning their son took us on 2 hr trip on the lake where we saw both kormorans and pelikans. Upon our return to Jocker we had amazing breakfast with coffee and dessert. Never during our travels have we experienced such hospitality! Absolutely recommend this place if you ever wish to visit the Skadar Lake.

Despite that we arrived late and were thinking about dinner in Virpazar, we just casually asked if it is possible to have something there. Even since the kitchen was already closed, the owner kindly offered us a cold dinner in about 20 minutes. It was enough for both of us after a long trip and we were lucky to also taste local wine. Breakfast was also no brainer, delicious, local and we stop counting how many dishes were in front of us 🙂 Despite only an overnight stay, we will definitely visit again 🙂

I recommend this acommodation either for a couple or the whole family. The mark is perfect 10. The host Ilija Radoman was excellent, friendly, organized a boat ride and the dinner (fish and home made red wine). There is a free car park in front of the facilities. The house is very well located, about 600m from the centre. He even announced us and recommended the restaurant in Virpazar. I can say all the best about the host, hospitality and the house. Marko is the kindest and most hospital host we'd ever had! He will do the best to make your stay unforgettable. He arranged a boat trip for us, recommend some places to eat, told us about Montenegro's history and his winery. We got to taste his wine, don't want to spoil, but it is really good. He is really helpful and the place is cozy and clean. Totally recommend this place if you want to visit Virpazar and lake Skadar.

If you’re considering booking this place, just do it RIGHT NOW. The hospitality of this family was truly unmatched - drinks on arrival, a stocked fridge of different home-made liquor, option to go out for a boat ride and the best part of our stay in Virpazar was the dinner cooked for us. If we’re ever back in Montenegro, we know where we’re staying.

Great location as it was within walking distance of all of the restaurants, Boat Cruise on the lake. Wifi in the room worked well. Sara was a great host, she helped us plan a hike with our 2 year old son, recommended a boat cruise and great restaurants in the area. Sufficient parking available. Loved the space, decor, and location overseeing the lake. Zoran was a wonderful host, and we even rented his boat with him as Skipper for a private cruise on the lake, which included spotting birds and swimming in the open lake. Our entire stay was wonderfully relaxing for a couple of days before we headed to the airport to leave Montenegro.

Really lovely little house in the owner's garden. Everything was really cosy and quiet. We had a really nice montenegrin dinner prepared by the owners and brought in the wood house, everything was delicious. This was the best night we spent in Montenegro, if you plan to stay in Virpazar, stay there !

It is very spacious and modern. The owners were on hand to help if we had questions. The bed is comfy. It is in a nice, quiet area where you can walk to a couple of vineyards. There is a bit of a walk into Virpazar town itself where there are more restaurants.
