La perle de saghro, hotel in Tamsahelt

La perle de saghro in Nkob features 4-star accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service.

We had a great stay here and extended to 2 nights. Mimoune, who takes care of the place, is delightful. Extremely kind and helpful man. The old Kasbah is being slowly restored and they are making a wonderful job of it. The finished rooms are beautiful and the roof terrace a special place to sit. You can have a very good dinner in a room with an open fire in the middle. We had an issue with our car and Mimoune and his friends went above and beyond to help us out. Very special treatment! We recommend and would happily stay again

Kasbah Ennakb, hotel in Tamsahelt

Kasbah Ennakb is a charming Kasbah with 4 stars rating located in the heart of Nkob Zagora, Morocco.

We found this hotel by chance while driving through the area, very glad we did because we had a great stay. We arrived late at night and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The chef made us a tasty dinner at short notice and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Our room was great too and the rest of the hotel was beautiful, especially the dining room and the roof terrace. Wish we had a longer trip here! Thank you :)

Kasbah Baha Baha, hotel in Tamsahelt

the Kasbah baha baha is a jewel of adobe construction dating from the beginning of the last century inherited from a tribal chief of the Ait Atta.

Everything! A little gem in Marokko. Fantastic kasbah, good food, nice authentic large room, very accommodating staff. I would recommend this place and even is worth a detour!

Riad Nkob, hotel in Tamsahelt

This guest house is located in N'kob, a town with many Kasbahs. It features traditionally decorated guest rooms with a private bathroom. It has a 24-hour reception and free internet access.

Had an amazing time here. Stayed before and after a trek in the anti atlas. Was given help finding my way around, and finding things to do. The food was great, and the rooms were nice. The building and location are great, but the staff makes the place exceptional.

Maison D' hôtes Ait Hmid, hotel in Tamsahelt

This B&B in a typical Berber house is in the province of Zagora, featuring mountains, deep gorges and oasis with palm trees.

This is a family guesthouse, so you are greeted and treated as a family member. There is a patio and a salon where guests can sit alone and eat/ drink. Since I was travelling alone and the sole guest there, I joined in with the family at mealtimes. I enjoyed good, traditional, seasonal, Berber food with products from their own garden. Tea/ coffee/ water always available. Nkob is not a touristy town and people greet you in the street and say ‘Welcome/ Bienvenue’. The guest house is just down a side street from the main road, signposted, with parking opposite the entrance to the property. Nkob holds a lively market @ weekends. The owners know good, local guides for the keen hikers amongst us and I had a marvellous day with a very knowledgeable guide who spoke good English. The owners can do business in English, French or Arabic, and are happy to teach you some Tamazight (local Berber/ Amazigh dialect).

Serdrar Camp, hotel in Tamsahelt

Offering mountain views, Serdrar Camp in Timganine features accommodation and a garden.

It’s a lovely remote location, off the paved road - we got lost on various tracks through the sand and stuck way out of nowhere. Staff came out and rescued us! We felt we’d had an adventure!

Riad Auberge Bassou, hotel in Tamsahelt

With views of Saghro Mountains, Riad Auberge Bassou is in Nkob, famous for its Kasbahs surrounded by the Pre Saharian Desert.

Just a few minutes away from Nkob, Auberge Bassou is like a peaceful oasis. Simple but tastefully decorated rooms around a lovely, green courtyard with lots of birds. Ibrahim and his sister running the place understand exactly their guests’ needs. There is great care in everything they do, from meals (excellent dinner, or a quick-fix meal in the afternoon) to an amazing tour in the Jebel Saghro. When we mentioned, that the next day while crossing the mountain towards Todra gorge, we were planning to do a few hours hike (by the way, the road to the north from Nkob towards Boumalna and Tinghir hardly shows up on Google maps but is in excellent condition), Ibrahim assured us that it was a great idea, told us about the tour he does for groups, usually 3 to 5 people, but not pushing us, nor trying to sell us anything. Still, we took up his offer and changed our schedule, and it became the absolute highlight of our ten days in Morocco. The central section of the Jebel Saghro is an amazing area, and having Ibrahim as our guide all day made it even more memorable (not to mention making it accessible without doing a 4-5 day hike which wasn’t an option for us). Spending an hour and a half with an Amazigh family, getting at least a hint of how they live out and beyond, without getting a ‘show’ for the tourists, was truly beyond our expectations (it took just 20 mins for my daughter and the three young girls of the family to become best friends even if without a common language). If you make it as far as Nkob, don’t miss this place.
