Truly a wonderful place and a gem in Arugam bay! Surf & Sand felt like a home away from home for us. The room was spacious and clean, AC working well, quiet at night and the best thing was the cooking- we got a different breakfast set every day and we ordered dinner several times as well as it was delicious - best (and by far the biggest!) plate of Kottu we had in Sri Lanka. The host family helped us with everything we needed like taxi service for a great price. The location is perfect, a walking distance to the beach, restaurants cafes and shops. Thanks for everything, we had a blast and would come back in the blink of an eye!

I had a very nice stay at the Garden Beach Hotel. The rooms are good value for money, the breakfast is good (I usually had the avocado toast with fried egg) and the owner is super nice (he even helped me organize a night-bus reservation to Colombo and let me shower at the accommodation before getting on the bus).
