The cottage is beautiful. Really well made with a lovely big comfy bed, kitchen, kettle, cooking hob and nestled into nature. Stunning views of the country, the mountains, and front row to the sunrise. We sat on the balcony and watched the clouds sweep through the mountains and valley. Then, when the sun set, the fireflies floated between us and out to the night.

The rainforest is superb, the views stunning and the treehouse was great fun. We expected all of those things but what we didn't expect was to meet the most amazing guy in Arun, the resident naturalist.

He is so knowledgeable and passionate about all animals and plants but he is also a real free spirit and general all round hero. He was fantastic with our boys and we all had such a fantastic time with him and learn so much from him.

It was very clean. Staff is supportive. Kind of deferent experience in the middle of lush green thick vegetation around gave us a feel like stay middle of a jungle. We stayed here for one night we enjoyed it so much we extended for another night. The host is a very sweet & warm person. He is an interesting man and keeps his home and the guest apartments very clean so much so I was impressed at how neat and well thought out the spaces were. They smelled very fresh as did the bed linens and towels 🙂 We stayed in the budget room equipped with two huge beds, fluffy pillows a fan, great shower with hot water & huge kitchen with a fridge. This was so needed and appreciated after spending the whole day exploring waterfalls and trekking through the stunning scenery that surrounds this homestay. The host has a beautiful garden with tropical flowers and spaces for guests to sit and enjoy the garden also you can enjoy the many authentic & delicious breakfast, lunches & dinners the host will provide at a very reasonable cost. He truly takes the hassle out of everything for you and will go miles out of his way for you. We felt very safe and extremely cared for here. There are gates with locks on for your scooter and your own private access to the building. This homestay is in one of the most beautiful and historical regions in Sri Lanka.
