The highlight of our stay was undeniably our incredible host, who spared no effort in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka.
Beyond the culinary delights, our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated.
Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home.

This was truly a hidden gem in Matara. The place is super clean and nice, the kind hosts were very helpful and supportive. This place had fully equipped kitchen (Microwave, Hot Plate, Electric Kettle, Juice Maker, Refrigerator and all the kitchen equipment you could ever want), There were two rooms which was super clean. Also this place had an Electric iron and there were Washing machine (we didn't use the washing machine) although the place is bit far from town, It is in close proximity to Polhena beach, which is a very beautiful beach. My first impression and stay at the place is not 10 out of 10, but 100 out of 10 ❤️. Highly recommend place and will definitely visit again.
