Gapyeong gave us a good respite from the city and a range of weather to enjoy to go along with the views. Gapyeong has loads of options for enjoying art such as the river road arts galleries with cafes we ended up visiting the Koo House Museum a bit down the road. There are lots of cultural foods from the area! As well as some nice roof top terrace river view cafes! Such as RiverWave! I'd recommend trying their bakery dishes we got an apple scone and a maple cream cheese pancake which were both really delightful!

It is a nice place to escape into nature close to the river, where you can rent a boat. View is worth every dollar paid for the room. The pension has all typical conveniences for Korea. The pension has smart room arrangement to ensure privacy to all the guests. Big parking place, nice lawn for kids to play. Good location to explore further Nami island and Morning calm garden.

Gapyeong is a very beautiful little city with so many scenic sites to visit. I visited the Garden of Morning Calm and recommend it. The garden was very big and absolutely beautiful. It's a nice, serene walk. The Petit France was ok, it was cute and a nice place for young families but not much to do while there. My favorite part of the trip was the Rail Park in Gangchon. It was a little out of the way but totally worth it. Nami Island was gorgeous, I could have definitely spent an entire day there alone. Everything was very accessible to get to and everyone we have met were nothing but kind.
