I would recommend relying on asking the camp staff questions about what to do, or information about history, culture, food and geography in Wadi Rum. They know best about everything and are really trustworthy people. Be friendly with the other campers, it is amazing to see who all visits Wadi Rum. Hiking and taking a Jeep Tour around Wadi Rum are amazing...
Hiking and taking a Jeep Tour around Wadi Rum are amazing experiences. My favorite part is the different colors of the sand and the bridge. However, as there's no fixed trail for the jeep, the sands are full of wheel marks, which kind of ruin the whole view of the desert. Overall, it is so beautiful; it feels like being on another planet.

For those who like silence, privacy and are happy to let go off their screentime this place is just right. If you decide to take your car, an SUV would be ideal on the sandy/rocky surface. There are some do-able hikes even with kids. The place looks like a totally different planet with unique rock formations and red sand till as far as you can see. Star gazing is magical as there isnt much light around.....!

Everyone tries to get out a hell of a business of the guided tours, the kids and youngsters treat animals (especially dogs) very bad, it gave an impression, that you need to know yourself how long you can make the best out of it.

Fascinating place, so beautiful and peaceful, but also a lot...
Fascinating place, so beautiful and peaceful, but also a lot of plastic litter everywhere and a surprising amount of traffic (tourists doing jeep rides).
Imagining that people have lived and thrived here for millennia without electricity is humbling.
First I stayed for one night in the camp, but the jeep Tour and the Tour to watch the sunset in the desert were so great, that I had to come back for a second night during my stay in jordan. Salem, made fresh Tea on a fire place, while watching the sunset. I really enjoyed my stay in the camp, everyone is really nice snd care about the guests! It was possible to sleep under the stars, when the weather is good. The tents are also very good and have plenty of space. The food is great, thanks to a great cook! :)
I will definitely come back :)
Awesome experience surely one of the best I had in Jordan. The host was so wellcomming and also the beduins were very kind. The food was very tasty and with a lot of choises for lunch in the desert and dinner and breakfast in the camp. I took a jeep tour and the desert was amazing! At the end of the day we waited for the amazing sunset sipping a really tasty Bedouin tea.
After dinner I also recommend an exceptional walk in the desert lit by the moon
I really recommend this camp in Wadi Rum desert!
Thanks Raja and your Team!
Hussein was a wonderful host and Jihad a wonderful guide. Upon arrival Hussein asked what we wanted to do while we were there and made sure we could do everything. Stargazing, a sunrise camel tour, a Jeep tour through Wadi Rum and wonderful Bedouin lunches, dinners and coffee-making by the camp fire. The desert in Wadi Rum is something different altogether. We felt so peaceful there, all stress just dissapears. It's a very different (and more magical) experience than the desert of Wadi Musa in my opinion.
Wadi Rum was our first stop in Jordan and we had an amazing time. Emad is a friendly host, he arranged us a taxi to pick us up and drive us to the village. Camp is really idylic in the middle of desert, no light pollution, so perfect for stargazing. Food was delicious. Dinner is available at the camp for 10 JD pp and is traditionally cooked underground. We visited in december and it was cold at night, but they give you an extra blanket and the view from the tent beats the cold :)
If possible, we would like to give Desert Bird Camp even 15 Points! Everything was perfect! Tawfiq is the best and funniest host you could imagine. Mahmoud made the best food, we had during our whole stay in Jordan. Tawfiq's brother showed us Wadi Rum in a perfect Jeep tour. The tents and the bathroom were very clean.
Here you can feel at home for a few days staying in an amazing surrounding. Thank you for a perfect stay in Wadi Rum!
200% recommendation!
This was our best experience in Jordan. The hosts are absolute legends who will let you experience parts of the Bedouin lifestyle. Probably the best part of your stay here is sitting around the campfire after sundown. The hosts provide food and shisha, tell stories and jokes, peform traditional music and will point out stars and constellations you've never seen before. Don't miss the jeep tour which lets you see a good chunk of the Wadi Rum desert.
Whether it’s is your first time to Wadi Rum or you’ve been coming for years, Rum Jordan Camp will exceed your expectations! The best part is the hospitality and service from its tour guides and owner, who’ve lived near Wadi Rum for generations.
The Jeep tour is enlightening and vast landscapes awe-inspiring. Lastly, let’s not forget the authentic Jordanian meals freshly prepared daily. Thanks again and I look forward to coming back!
The camp is probably located in one of the best spot in Wadi Rum desert. The view from the room is amazing and in front of it there is a big dune where to observe magical sunsets. Staff is very nice an polite. Always ready to help Last but not least, the dinner is very good. Bedouin traditional food is great and the best we tasted in Jordan. Buffet formula works very well. Breakfast also has a good variety.
We had the best guide in wadi rum Aied. His brothers and he are running an amazing place. The camp is far from others which gives you the real desert experience. Aied went all out of the typical tour to really explain and show us things about the desert and Bedouin customs. We travelled all around Jordan and of all trips being there was the best of all. I hope I can come back one day :-)
We had the most amazing time exploring the desert with bader - during the day we were out exploring in the 4x4, had an amazing lunch cooked on the fire in a secluded spot within Wadi Rum. We also stayed overnight as part of the ‘Under The Stars’ experience which was the highlight of our tour & one of the best moments on our whole trip in Israel & Jordan - definitely not to be missed!!
This is a really wonderful camp in a particularly beautiful part of Wadi Rum. The staff were really fantastic and looked after us so well - by far the best service that we experienced in Jordan. The rooms are super comfortable and manage to provide all the home comforts while still feeling true to the desert location. The food was a real highlight and the chef is truly talented.
We spent one day and one night in the camp. Everything was exceptional from start to finish. The evening in the big tent with fire and shisha was great, the hosts were kind, delicious dinner.
Wadi rum exceeded all my expectations and I have to admit that it was the best part of Jordan, and Ali Jackson is the king of the desert. Thank you for everything!
Our visit to the Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp exceeded all our expectations! The camp itself was so beautiful, the dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious and the staff couldn't have been nicer!
We also booked a camel ride and a jeep tour with them for two people and both were amazing experiences. If we come back to Jordan, we will go back for sure!
Best place to stay in Wadi Rum, if you are looking for an amazing experience in the desert in a beautiful and comfortable camp with delicious food, go for it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, you will feel instantly at home. Also the place is perfect to enjoy the beautiful sunset at the end of the day. I would definitely come back
I had the best time at Desert Dream Camp with my wife of two years. Jordan was our first international trip since we got married (due to COVID) and hands down, our stay at Desert Dream Camp was the highlight of our stay in the country. I definitely recommend others to enjoy the top-notch hospitality and friendliness on offer here!
Beautiful campsite situated in the heart of Jordan in Wadi Rum desert. We were welcomed by our friendly hosts at the entrance of wadi rum. Had so much fun cruising through the desert, had zurb (traditional dinner cooked in a pot in the sand)Amazing experience.
Would 100% recommend staying at this campsite!
The Bedouin Camp is an excellent place to stay in Wadi Rum. This was our second time visiting Wadi rum and it was our favorite stay. Mohamed and everyone who works there are wonderful. We had a great time on a jeep tour in the white desert and hanging out with other guests around the campfire.
The Wadi Rum camp and overnight stay were above and above our expectations. An incredible experience was created by the stunning desert scenery, friendly service, delectable traditional cuisine, and cozy lodging.
Very nice place to stay in the wadi rum desert.
Excellent food with some local specialities.
Very honest people and hope i will return to this camp definitely when come back in Jordan.
Thank you
It was a unforgettable experience in Wadi Rum with Mohammed . If you are in Jordan don't miss a chance to stay in Wadi Rum as it is something so unique that you'll not find anywhere else.
