We have stayed two nights in this hotel and we could stay here for the rest of our lives. We felt at home. The treatment is not only excellent, it is magnificent. The whole family is willing to help you in everything you need and to offer you the best services. It is incredible the delicacy and detail with which everything is done in this hotel. The cleanliness is impeccable and the best, apart from the service, the dinner and breakfast, the best in Jordan. Very grateful for everything, we will be back for sure.

Other than the popular attractions, Madaba is a great place to stay at the begenning or end of one's Jordan trip as it is close to Queen Alia airport (closer than Amman).
It is also a better shopping experience (for arab/muslim clothing) than Amman, as driving inside Madaba is much easier than Amman. Prices seemed to be better as well.

Madaba is one of the most interesting places in Jordan and the good news is that it's not that touristy! The typical Middle Eastern city with its busy life, colourful streets and simple vibe, is the christian stamp of Middle East - it's a remarkable dialogue between the most important empires that ruled there - nabatheans, romans, bizantines, islamic, and it's covered with the most impressive mosaics.
It's a great city to feel the true Jordanian vibe with all its hospitality, joyfulness and historical interest - without tourist traps.

Take a little time to discover this city which is worth more than just visiting the church and Mount Nebo. We have spent a very nice evening in a restaurant we found during our visit. Unexpected and memorable!

Very friendly people and fantastic places to visit, including the mosaic museum. Great place to relax by shopping in the bazaar and eating on the street. The city looks safe and people are very friendly and supportive! Places that must be visited are Saint George Church, Saint John Church, Archeological Museum, and Mosaic Museum. Enjoy fantastic meals and restaurant services after souvenirs shopping.

I think the price is fair and the accommodation in total okay. The staff was excellent (!!) but pls don’t expect more than easiest standard. I wished to have a bed light and a little more comfortable beds.
But, Samar and his wife who spoke English well were super-friendly prepared dinner and opened the gate at 4am!
(What I found semi-pleasant was that the gate was closed after my arrival (8pm) and no chance to get out of the premises.)

Most people blow through Madaba with a stop at Mt.
Most people blow through Madaba with a stop at Mt. Nebo, and the one church. That is a shame. You only need maybe one FULL day there, but the walking tour is great. That one church everyone goes to... not even close to the best one. You are missing out!
The hotel staff make us feel home right as we stepped into the property - a stellar welcome to Jordan!
The property is located very close to all main Madaba’s must sees historical sites. It does also provide ample
parking which proved very handy as we were travelling with a car.
Rooms are exactly what you need after a long day walking the old streets of Madaba: clean, tidy and spacious.
Decent breakfast buffet included with the rooms which we very much enjoyed with the morning breeze on the outside terrace ;) much recommended!
I must give 10 points for both the hotel and Simon the owner. I arrived at about 2.40am but he was still waiting for me to check in. Meanwhile, he called me several times when I drove to the hotel from the airport and reminded me to drive safely. So sweet of him! For the hotel, All facilities are perfect, and very clean. Everything is much better than the photos on Booking! You must try it when you would like to stay in Madaba.
Great location to explore Madaba from, offering free parking was appreciated, the room was lovely and spacious, the best thing of all was the staff - the owner checked us in and was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, he gave us coffee and a sweet upon checkin and also packaged up a small breakfast for us to take to the airport as our flight upon departure was quite early.
The Black Iris Hotel is a very good choice for staying in Madaba. All sights are in walking distance.
The Hotel is new, rooms are well equipped, cozy and absolutely clean. After a long day I decided to have dinner in the hotel and this was delicious as was the breakfast.
The staff was outstanding friendly and made my stay memorable.
I would defently stay there again.
We had an amazing stay at the Saint John Hotel. The location was amazing to visit the churches and the City center in Madaba, you find parking places around the corner.
Breakfast was rich and delicous
The owner, Omar, is really kind and friendly, he also gives good advices to visit Madaba and the dead sea !
Wow! 10/10! The best stay that we had in Jordan!
The host is suuuuuper friendly and nice, welcomed us with a delicious fresh juice and was extremely helpful.
The apartment was way better than any hotel room that we stayed in: Spacious, spotlessly clean, equipped.. perfect!
The breakfast was delicious!
The Staff were fantastic and they would be able to train many 5 star Hotels on how to treat guests. Thanks to all the staff! The food was also very good. Beautiful Classic Hotel. On this trip we stayed with Novotel and Ramada where we found terrible maintenance problems and uncouth, useless staff.
Spacious apartment very close to city center. Very clean and affordable for our large group. Thoughtful details included and wonderful host (Maher) to greet us and to answer every question we had. We loved our stay—it felt very much like staying in a home and experiencing Madaba like a local.
This is a wonderful hotel! Super friendly staff, good breakfast, very nice pool. I highly recommend. We forgot our little son's favorite soft toy and they made everything possible to send it to London. Thank you so much Hotel Mariam!!! Whenever we come back to Madaba we'll stay at your hotel!
Rooms are big and clean. Staff is very friendly and location is very convenient. All tourist attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was ok, not great but nothing to complain about. Also the hotel cats are just too cute. Would recommend this lovely hotel when you're in Madaba.
We had a great time at Madaba Hotel. The location is very central (right next to the main attractions) and there is plenty of parking. The highlight was the owner preparing us breakfast, and taking care to make sure we enjoyed everything!
Excellent hotel. The room was very spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and available.
The hotel is very well located, you can visit Madaba in Walk distance.
Also, good breakfast.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, in the center of Madaba -- easy walking to all of the major attractions. Breakfast was very good, and the bar area is cozy and fun. All of our encounters with staff were fantastic.
Well located in the centre of Madaba with a parking opportunity in front of the hotel (24h free). The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Not super cosy and modern, but for the price it is worth it.
A really lovely hotel, great location in the centre of Madaba. Very comfortable room, beautifully decorated. The breakfast was outstanding, and the staff all very helpful. Excellent value for money.
A small, family-run hotel with a local feel. Edward was super helpful with dinner and shopping recommendations and his mother makes the best breakfast in Madaba! Would definitely book here again.
Madaba is a lovely, calm little town and this hotel is perfect for your stay. The staff is really nice, the rooms are clean, the restaurant is above average. Highly recommended.
The parking lot is next to the hotel and is included in the price. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds comfortable. Good breakfast. Location near the center of Madaba.
Perfect hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast, made by Maria, is awesome. You can relax in the little garden. The location is also very good for visiting Madaba.
