We were delighted to find our room so clean and well decorated. Antoinette had made towel swans and even a towel frog for our kids. She had filled the jacuzzi with rose petals in the shape of a heart and balloons. It was such a great welcome to a beautiful house with a beautiful host. She was always available to help and give advice. She walked with us and showed us all the shops, she even drove us to the beach and helped us with our laundry.

Host Anne Marie was fantastic, attentive to needs and always tried to sort any issues. Unfortunately I was unwell during my stay and she was very helpful.

We had a kitchen so we made most of our meals. That being said, groceries are not cheap in Jamaica!
Amazing seafood meal at Bashment bar and grill, a little shack on discovery bay beach!!! Don’t let the place fool you, it was the best seafood I have had near Runaway bay for a decent price.
Driving is not for the weak in Jamaica, it is a busy road often many delays and can take some time to get to where you are going.
But overall, such a beautiful country with the best people.

I liked the view, the general structure of the property.
I liked the view, the general structure of the property. I didn't like how lazy some staff seemed, specifically the person to whom complaints are filed. Attitudes of some female staff needs work.

Check-in was horrendous, it took them 1-2 hours to get us to our room. Be prepared for a reception that is not ready for guests and were almost surprised we turned up despite paying for the entire stay in advance. Fortunately, I had printed a hard copy of the booking otherwise I'd be spending the night sleeping on the beach. Phone the hotel directly was futile as they never pick up the phone. Surprisingly this was the same from the actual room. Security is pretty hostile to paying guests and if you have a car prepare for no parking spaces if you even get let in. On Fridays there is a Sound System outside the hotel playing at 80-90 decibels and the hotel does nothing about it go luck trying to get some sleep. The hotel has an empty disco playing at around 70 decibels till 2am every night. By the way noise above 70 dB over a prolonged period of time may start to damage your hearing. Loud noise above 120 dB can cause immediate harm to your ears. Be prepared to supply your own beach towels. Room towel and bed sheets are not changed daily. The was built in 1958 and the room safe is from the late 80s. Food is acceptable but they seldom have the national dish of Ackee and Salt Fish and the bar runs out of Wray and Nephew white rum by noon daily.

The free breakfast was great but i was little disappointing that you had to pay for children, i wasn't aware of this when i booked and assumed my child was free as well, saying that it was fairly priced and fantastic food
The pool area was lovely and clean and free towels where provided
the whole hotel was lovely and inviting and felt very luxurious and comfortable
Staff where polite and the views where lovely, as is the private beach down the road overall a fantastic place for all the family
As you walk into property the smell alone was absolutely lovely. The master bedroom was very spacious , second was also a nice space , shower pressure was beautiful and hot at any given time. First Airbnb I have stayed in were they provide cleaning products which was a real bonus for me. Enough cooking utensils and etc, WiFi was brilliant in all rooms even on the roof patio and pool area. Mr Gray also was brilliant ensuring I entered safely.
The staff were SO friendly and helped to make my stay amazing! The room I had was very comfortable and stayed cool, and I didn't hear others around me. The arranged transfers from the airport to the hotel were really nice, given the distance (1 hr). it was good to not have to worry about that. The size of the resort was nice for me and it was a great jumping off point for hiring a guide to take me to see local wildlife.
I loved the friendliness of the staff and their ability to interact and lyme with the guests. Big up Sandy, Jade, Kelsene, Carlyle, Jevaughn… yeah man! 😄
The place was always clean and tidy.
The variety of meals I was offered being in the Luxury part of the hotel and the service throughout as well.
The hotel had multiple amenities to take advantage of…
The home was lovely, very clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and out in a location where you really experience tranquility and peace. Safe parking, comfy beds and ac in rooms. I travel alot an this is one of the best locations locally and internationally. Nora the housekeeper is also very helpful, kind and attentive
Generous room size. Attentive and pleasant staff. The property was average, so nothing really sticks out. I think our experience would have been slightly better if we had booked a renovated room. To be fair, we don’t usually do all-inclusive, but this was for a family occasion (wedding).
The hospitality of Bailey and Princess was so generous and heartfelt. We felt very welcomed and safe and relaxed while staying in their place. The jewel of the property is the rooftop veranda with the sweeping ocean views - just breathtaking!
Snorkeling reef 20’ from shore. They have snorkel equipment. Clean place. Attentive. Beautiful gardens. Beach and pool. Safe to sit there even at midnight in gated community w/guard. Near Cardiff Hall/Flavours beach. Stove, fridge, balcony.
The hotel was super friendly, staff were outstanding in every way possible.
Lovely home vibes, the pool is great and the stunning views over the sea.
Studio was well equipped and spacious.
Resort felt safe and secure
Nothing! It's a small hotel with little to no structure of a resort. Food is horrible!!! The facility is old and very poorly maintained. Tiles following off, dirty, pool was very dirty with a “milk type” water.
…it was very inviting & comfortable. I enjoyed every minute of it . I’ll certainly book Runaway Bay Gem again & I’ll definitely tell my friends & colleagues about it. Again awesome place, thanks!
Breakfast was well enjoyed. Comfortable and stylish. Highly accommodating host who went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us with directions and accommodating us out of towners.
Great resort. Awesome location. Great food, activities and awesome staff. The gym instructor Sean Green and his Manager Alberto definitely made a big difference to our stay.
The lemon roast chicken !!!!! Was great ... Big up tahjay and nastascia .... The pool was clean and nice ... Overall carfiff hotel and spa is just too awesome 😊
