Host was amazing and helpful, breakfast was typicaly Continental. However could have been better with perhaps cheese/cold meats and bread. Just personal preference thought.

The hotel, food and grounds were beautiful but what really made our holiday special was the staff. Everyone made us feel so at home and made a real effort to befriend our kids, which really helped us relax as we were worried that the hotel wouldn’t be child friendly (our kids are 3 and 1 years old) Such an amazing stay, we’ll definitely come back, thanks.

Classic small village, exquisite celebrated church, magic Italian family run Trattoria Bimbotto. Ask Nicola for the beefsteak Florentina, or La Cecca written up by Sunday Times as one of best restaurants in Tuscany. And Lo Scompiglio gets the best sunset views over their vineyard where host Lando will make a fuss, especially if you are staying at Villa Michaela!

Vorno is a typical village, with alot of beautiful old villas in the area. The most wonderful attraction for me was the art-culture centre called Lo Scompiglio, contemporary art set in nature, to the highest callibore. Plus a wonderful restaurant with organic food. Really worth a vist. Lots of walks around as well. Close to the wonderful town of Lucca, definetly worth stumbling into the antique market on Sunday Morning. An enchating area under the Toscan sun.
Me and my friend stayed at Villa Michaela for two nights, and loved every minute of it. Such a genuine place and wonderful hospitality. We will come back!
