Nice sea view from the rooftop terrace, large aquarium in the room and good breakfast with warm croissants and freshly pressed juice. Room was spacious and clean, has lots of lighting options that may be liked by those who fancy playing with lights. They also offer pretty impressive selection of dinner options for a small hotel.

Absolutely amazing room with a pleasant local design and atmosphere. The host is a wonderful woman who will treat you with home made croissants and you feel as if you came to visit your favorite Italian auntie. Everything is perfectly clean and nice. The house is located in a beautiful peaceful village with not so many tourists a bit higher than Vietri sul mare. We found our stay absolutely amazing from the first minute and loved it till the moment we left.

Vietri is an ideal staging point for a visit to the Amalfi Coast. Small but big enough to have all the amenities. Good choices of restaurants and cafes. Easy access from transport by train from Naples (nearest airport) or further afield. We travelled from Rome by train into next door Salerno. Great ferry services along the coast are great to use for a lunch or even early dinner and visit to any one of several lovely villages along the coast. Remember all these villages are built on the side of a cliff. Hills and steps are going to be a constant experience! If you like the hills and steps there are great walks in the area which will reward with views like nothing seen before.

Great base away from the madness of the rest of the coast.
Great base away from the madness of the rest of the coast. Train, bus, ferry to everywhere and you come home to a place thats more like a village than a tourist nightmare. Elevator to your beach. Staff are great. Room was good. We were in an upper room away from the functions and disco which was good. ( we went to the disco and had fun and fitted in as 60 yr olds). Loved the place and didn't have to contend with the rest of the mad over crowding of the rest of the coast. And tyhe parking guys are really cool.

Vietri is a very popular seaside town and gets very busy.
Vietri is a very popular seaside town and gets very busy. There are mainly ceramics and some clothing shops. Restaurants are plentiful and very reasonable with the fresh fish dishes excellent. There is also a restaurant which provides Pizza takeaway.
Parking is very difficult as is common on the Amalfi coast. If you take a car try and pre-arrange private parking in advance.
The beach is ok but quite a long downhill walk so the return journey is tedious. We chose to drive to Maori which is much more accessible and a better beach.

This is a wonderful and amazing little getaway nestled into the cliffs that overlook the Mediterranean and the beach below. HIlaria, the hostess is wonderful and helped us arrange tours, recommended restaurants and provided us with a driver for trips around town.
The rooms are large and airy and the bed is SO comfy. There is a full kitchen should you feel the need to cook.
The breakfast buffet is huge with many different options and choices, but the breads and local cheeses and meats were exceptional.
The stairs are steep but there are not nearly as many of them as at other places and the restaurant, Acqua Marina, right at the bottom of the stairs is one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever eaten in (and I'm a Chef).
We've only been home a month and we're already talking about going back next year.

The hotel stay was mediocre.
The hotel stay was mediocre. I highly recommend renting a car. The hotel does not have a shuttle service. We had to take a bus to the hotel once we figured out the system as well as asking locals. That was the worst part. Once we got to the hotel we realized due to its location and proximity in relation to things to do, we were going to have a hard time getting around. Taxis got to be expensive taking them back and forth. The hotel staff was nice for the most part with the exception of one member. She seemed upset there was a language barrier. Overall, the hotel was ok for the cost. I wouldn't stay again, however.
We had a beautiful room with balcony which had loungers and also extended area with table and chairs overlooking the sea. The views from every corner of the hotel were gorgeous and pool area with always attentive staff (Antonio) was an added bonus. Breakfast was plentiful and provided variety of choices. Service was excellent. We enjoyed our stay so much we will look towards coming back to this exact hotel in the future. Another feature which makes this hotel special is free parking for hotel guests, rarity at any Amalfi coast accommodations.
Our stay in Villa Lilia was wonderful, it was perfect place for our holiday! The house is beautiful and pool area and gardens were magnificent. View from pool to Vietri and to sea is just beautiful. Teresa is great hostess, she is very helpful and made sure all is good during our stay. She also gave us excellent tips what to do and see in the area, and also recommended good restaurants. Vietri sul Mare is lovely small town and it is calmer (not full of tourists) than other towns in Amalfi. We can really recommend Villa Lilia, we loved it!
The apartment is in a lovely vibrant town full of character and with many locals. Restaurants always busy in the evening and plenty of atmosphere during the day too. Superb access to the Amalfi coast by boat and bus, also with direct train to Pompei and Portici Ercolano (for Herculaneum). Vietri is not so touristy as much of the coast so lovely to return to each day.
Our host was very helpful with super recommendations, and the apartment is very clean and quiet with restaurants, shops and supermarkets minutes away.
Highly recommended!
The property was very close to the bus station like 100m and also via pedestrian street it was super close to the ceramic wonderland. The balcony view was pretty with quintessential church dome and the sea view of Amalfi coast. We had a comfortable stay and also Mr. Raffale allowed us to drink liters of mineral water for free! He was so kind to keep our luggage after checkout. Do not hesitate to book this cosy stay in one of me cute villages of Amalfi Coast. Vietri is something unique if you compare with other villages of the coast!
The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning. We used this hotel for a 2 day stop over whilst travelling through the Amalfi. It is quite high up in the mountain and away from anything but that was what we were looking for. It offered a shuttle which took you to the local town which was also gorgeous. It overlooks Salerno. The food and the staff were brilliant. The seafood dishes come highly recommended. Our room overlooked the coast. The room was clean and a good size. We had a lovely few days rest and relaxation.
The rooms are renovated so everything looks brand new. The ceramics on the floor and on the walls is giving the room a really authentic Vietri feel, and it looks really classy also. The view to the sea from our little balcony was something amazing. Our host Mary was extremely nice and helpful and she made sure we enjoyed our stay. She also gave a lot of great tips of what to visit and how to go around Amalfi Coast. Great quality on a very good price comparing to the rest of the Amalfi coast.
We had a wonderful stay at the Ambrosea Amalfi Coast with our toddler. Carmen and her mom were so kind to our son, even made him pancakes every day and spoiling him with lots of attention. The property’s location is amazing, so easy to get to the other towns on the coast and Vietri sul Mare was a pleasant surprise, we absolutely loved it. The room was super clean and lovely decorated and you can see how much care Carmen puts into it. She also does the best cappuccino 🥰
Excellent! Valentina and her lovely parents were simply wonderful hosts- so kind and helpful! The location was good for us- near the train station, with a balcony and lovely view. The bed was comfortable, apartment is decorated beautifully. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe- very nice. We were only here one night but wished we were here longer. Vietri was a lovely town. Would love to return and would definitely stay here again!
The house is spacious and comfortable. It is located in a small community just a few minutes outside of Vietri. There is a bar/cafe next door and a couple of small stores nearby. There is a small parking lot in front of the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. There is a large, modern bathroom with good shower. We enjoyed our stay here in spite of a few minor inconveniences.
Our Seaview room had spectacular views from our balcony over the Bay of Salerno. Vietri is a delightful little town and a short drive to Salerno where you can pick up a ferry or join a small boat excursion to Amalfi, Positano or othe locations on the coast weather permitting. Our boat tour was cancelled due to a storm but we enjoyed the day exploring Vietri Sul Mare.
We really loved the fact that we could hike to Vietri sul mare and Salerno. The view is beautiful everywhere you look! There are a lot of animals there (cows, goats, chickens, a cat) so if you love animals, its a little paradise! The host was very helpfull and made us feel at home. We really loved our time there !
Vietri is a hiden jam in the Amalfi coast, we really enjoyed this town, better than Amalfi or Positano. The hotel is very close to the beach, a litlle bit far from the historical center, but still a walking distance. Vietri beach is a sandy beach, unlike others from Amalfi Coast.
Casa maggio was a nice place and large enough for 2 couples (2 bedrooms, 2 baths). Its location is close to the ferry landing in Vietri, and there are nice restaurants around it. It is a walk to the historic center, so either buy a bus pass or put on your hiking shoes.
Authentic place / house, near trainstation and Vietri sul mare city (15 min by foot), host very friendly and pleasant, speak english, everything explained, owns his bar, where you can feel yourself like very special his guests, apartments clear and nice.
Extremely helpful and friendly host! Easy to communicate with :) The room was very nice, cosy and clean. Great view from the balcony! + You can easily explore the whole Amalfi Coast from Vietri Sul Mare :)
I think if you consider this a 3-star hotel with 5-star views, you won’t be disappointed. This hotel is built to service banquets, not individual guests. The view is spectacular and the rooms are clean.
The apartments are beautiful, very comfortable, and with air-conditioning. Small breakfast available for all the guests in the fridge. Very typical Vietri style for the rooms design. Amazing view.
Location couldn’t be better a quick walk to beach or to downtown that’s full of restaurants. Hotel staff is absolutely wonderful and makes you immediately feel like you are at home.
