with its own bathroom which we did not need at all, but is great for e.g. families traveling with two grown up children.
The view was beautiful from the semi upper floor.

Everything. The welcome was warm, the room was romantic and the mountain setting was gorgeous. The hosts were very helpful and informative. There are lots of lovely walks and countless gourmet restaurants and shops in the area. We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Set in a Medieval hilltop castle, this unique hotel lies in Compiano and hosts 3 museums. The Castello di Compiano also features an eat-in delicatessen.

The Castle is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend at least a 2 night stay. The views are breathtaking… The staff went above & beyond. The restaurant on site served the most delicious homemade bread. All the food we tried was excellent (& extremely cheap)
