I stayed in a place (apartment) that smelled quite bad on entry. The apartment was on the last floor with no lift access. It wasn’t anywhere near the centre. Went for a walk to get some food. Everything was closed. Lucky after a very long walk to find a pizza place. The shower was so small you could move much without hitting the very poorly installed plastic doors. Very disappointed.

The location is on the edge of town which was good for us as it is only a few 100m from the cycle path. We were to tired to go far for diner so ate in the restaurant. It has reduced menu due to covid restrictions only serving to hotel guests. It was reasonable price (20€ 3 courses plus water and glass of wine) and ok if you were hungry cyclist. The room was quite large and the spacious balcony allowed us to enjoy the city views and cool winter air. The heating was sufficient and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was simple, but everything was of excellent quality. Their coffees were exquisite. The Novara station is also just a 2 minute walk away, so it’s very convenient for quick visits to cities like Milan 😊
