In particular we loved the care and help with complications that can arise when overseas and without a second language.

Easy to park, quiet apart from the gulls on the roof, looks like someone’s home - fully furnished, lots of utensils. It served us fine as a base for a few days and is within a short drive of beaches and the main town.
Set within a 14th-century cloister in the historical centre of alghero, San Francesco Heritage Hotel offers free WiFi and simply furnished en suite rooms.

I loved the location of this hotel. It's so close to everything. The breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were fab.

Not very much happening here but it was right for us as we wanted a quiet holiday. Restaurant Il Paguro was a surprise in terms of fish dishes, definitely would have chosen it to the punta negra hotel restaurant where the service was rushed for nothing, late and unpleasant and the spaghetti arrived in clumps (horror)..
There is a small supermarket and the bus station is very handy to reach alghero (the tabacchi does not sell tickets so you either go to a small room-transformed-in-shop place to buy the tickets or you download the dropticket up and do it from there (very handy)
Tranquille, silencieux, eau cristalline, plongeon possible en même en ville, plages accessibles à pied.
Centre ville moderniste.
Restaurants Il Paguro (poisson, crustacés) et SottoPrua (vue sur l'étang et pont romain),

Very special sea village built during the Fascist period (have a look at the architecture of the school) and populated by Istrian exiles after world war II. Close to the airport and Alghero. Good restaurants and beautiful sea.
Peaceful.
If you want to visit the area it's better to rent a car.

No air con. No tv. You pay extra for real fruit juice.
No air con. No tv. You pay extra for real fruit juice. Extra for breakfast things like soft eggs. Mean with towels. Limited pool hours. No bathroom toiletries for “eco” reasons but plastic water cups wrapped plastic bags! We stayed in 2 other hotels in Sardinia and paid a quarter the price for a much much better experience.
Overall we spent 2 weeks in the village. We spent more than 3k for a Bungalow without sheets neither towel. No cleaning service was included. Overall this is typical of Sardinian hotel or camping with bungalow: value for money almost near to 0 and super high prices for an island almost dead for foreign tourism. Management not at the level requested. It is a pity since the island is superlative beautiful.
The location is perfect, Punta Negra beach and the bus stop to Alghero/Airport is really close.
The neighborhood is quiet, our room and the bathroom was clean, the breakfast was perfect! The host, Pina is really friendly, however she doesn’t speak english.
Giulia helped us with everything, she and her husband Marco took us to beautiful places around Fertilia, which was the best part of our journey!
The hosts were very friendly and made the check in and check out times super flexible. The location was great, Fertilia is much quieter than Alghero, but you can still get a bus easily to Alghero or to the airport, or rent a bike. The apartment is right beside a small but very charming beach (Punta Negra). For the price pretty unbeatable :)
property was a lovely boutique hotel located on a private beach. We loved the all- inclusive breakfast which had something for everyone. We loved that the chairs and umbrella were included and assigned to you for the entire stay. The staff — from the front desk to the wait staff — are welcoming and friendly.
The private beach made the cost well worth it. It was not the cheapest hotel on the island, but just having your own beach to walk down to which wasn't busy was amazing. The reception staff were very helpful. Room was lovely and clean. Was nice to have a little balcony. Great cocktails at the bar.
We had to book a very last minute room for which we were arriving very late and needed urgent help with a taxi. Gavina, the host, was very helpful and charming. The hotel, rooms and gardens were absolutely beautiful. We would highly recommend Arenosu to anyone! Thank you Gavina x
Hotel was great. Lovely staff, great food, happy with room and swimming pool. Unfortunately the beach was unusable and was in the process of being cleared of seaweed and washed up sea plants. It would be better if it had been cleaned before tourists arrive.
I had a great stay at Villa Grachira. It felt more like staying at someone's home than a hotel. Rafaella was always helpful and was happy to help with all my questions. I hope to come back with friends or family for more time at this beautiful location.
I liked the fact that it was the nicest looking building in Fertilia. The apartment was nice and spacious. Plus location is great just around the corner from the main strip. The whole place was immaculate on our arrival and the host is friendly.
A welcoming and homely hotel a few minutes drive from the airport easy To find and easy parking . super breakfast quiet and clean room and pool to cool off in. Lovely staff will look forward to staying again when flying in or out of Alghero
We were in this hotel last year, and just came back this year. We intend to come back next year as well! We just love this hotel, and it's private beach, which is fantastic! The staff is super friendly! Great food! Everything is great!
The location is great close to the best beaches and to Alghero to go out at night. The common areas at the hotel are amazing: views, infinity pool, restaurant, lounge terrace. The view from the ocean front rooms are unbeatable!
The private beach is the best part of the hotel. It’s clean and beautiful.
The staff is very friendly and always willing to help you. Especially the ladies from the bar and front desk.
Very poor camping nowdays. Maybe in past, it was OK . There are better places to stay around Alghero and Fertilia , in same price. We had problem with insect, ants.
