The host was a pleasant gentleman, who was waiting on the street to meet us. It was easy to contact him. The sitting room looks like an ancient castle hall. You have kitchen tools and facilities at your disposal. Location is very good, 50 m to the city piazza.

a well- located hotel not far off the motorway, Mathis was a very comfortable stop. Our large bedroom on the ground floor (with steps so not wheelchair accessible) was spotlessly clean with a good bathroom, the staff were very helpful and our dinner delicious with good local specialities, also favoured by the locals, always a good sign! Parking is available on site for a small fee.

We booked it at short notice for a quick stop over so we arrived late but it was not a problem, staff were present and friendly. The location is a little way from the main roads but not a problem to find and it meant the room was quiet. We did not stop for breakfast. Although our stay was very short we did see that there was a lovely garden.
