Castrocielo is a small rural village perched halfway up a mountainside with few facilities for tourists, the nearby town of Roccasecca has shops, restaurants and bars. We stayed in a good hotel and liked the area because it was off the tourist trail.

We were so impressed with the staff and facility that we booked a night a few days later when we had to go to the ariport in Rome to pick someone up. The room was immaculate, shower great, and the bed super comfortable. The staff were efficient and friendly. We felt we were part of their family. Breakfast was good. The grounds were beautiful. The room was immaculate.
